The show was announced after Stone's solo work and video releases that he worked on at the time, as well as a four-City tour. The releases were a part of Timberland's 'DIG IT' campaign, which brought together activists, artists and eco-minded individuals for re-greening and musical celebrations. After a long hiatus, Brad returned with their final album "In The Moment That You're Born" through @loosegrooverecords on July 28th, 2023. This is the first new music from Brad in over a decade and was released 30 years to the day that their debut album "Shame" was released in 1993. With the vocal tracks already recorded, Shawn Smith unfortunately passed away on April 3rd, 2019 at the age of 53, so sadly he never witnessed the release of this album. The album is a fitting tribute to Shawn and final release by an amazing band. On this day, January 28th 2022, Painted Shield released the first single 'Dead Man's Dream' from their second studio album, 'Painted Shield 2'. The song was written by guitarist, Stone Gossard and vocalist Mason Jennings, and released under Gossard's record label, Loosegroove Records. It is produced by Josh Evans. A video for the single was released in February of 2022, and features the band performing at the Pearl Jam warehouse. It was directed by Regan Hagar (Stone's friend, band mate in BRAD, co founder of Loosegroove, and drummer for Malfunkshun and Satchel), with camera work by Mike Walker, David Llama and Kevin Shuss. The song is an upbeat tune, with a couple of superb keyboard solos from Brittany Davis, and melodic vocals with excellent harmonies by David and Mason Jennings. The guitars by Gossard and Jeff Fielder channel funky riffs, and Matt Chamberlain's rhythm is unmatched.
