Wednesday! We started the day with some foil play! We wrapped zoo and farm animals in foil for the children to unwrap. They then had a go at wrapping the animals back up themselves! Once we were done wrapping and unwrapping, we scrunched the foil into balls, placed them on a tray, and gave them a shake to see what noise they would make, we definitely heard rain! We then had some garden play, we had a water play section set up, babies to play with, and the usual slide, swings, and play house! Busy day today! We have a new little lion that started today! He smashed his first day, and we had lots of smiles, giggles, and big belly laughs! ( I'm never able to catch these when they happen, and kids just know when the camera is there!) We had free play to get everyone started and settled in! The little lions loving the new chair beds! Our new little lion even read everyone a story on the beds! Nanna Pen (my assistant) had everyone engrossed in 10 in a bed story time! Witnessed new friendships being made with babbling conversations and enjoyed the sun coming out in the garden for some free play outside! The little lions loved chasing and being chased by Rex! 2 little lions have now learnt how to get on and off the see saw and use the see saw together by themselves now 🥹 we had some messy play with dough and used hammers and dinosaurs to make patterns! Early for school drop off this morning, so a quick trip into @morrisons to get some milk only to find these amazing kids' trolleys! Safe to say, it was a massive hit for this little lion! Once back, we had the wooden farm all set up to play with, we compared tree sizes to find the tallest tree and the smallest trees, we also counted all the trees and made lots of animal noises! Then the trusty cardboard box came out! Today, it was a tunnel for the Barbie bus, and it soon turned into a ramp and then our very own shop floor! The boys then had their babies to look after. They did very well taking turns to rock baby to sleep! How tall can the tower grow?! Again, we were counting all the building blocks and looked at the pictures on the building blocks, which led to some conversations about the different pictures, and then we knocked the tower down to the ground! What a day! My assistant came for her first official day today! So we had extra children! We also had another little settling in session again! Started off with a car and tea party today! Followed by the washing machine being on (who needs toys or telly?!) We then did some bird & dog watching 👀 the kids love watching the birds use the feeder we made together & counting all the dogs that walked past! We had turn taking of being pushed in the baby buggy 🙈 we played with dough (mothers day presents pending!) Jeg er jo bare en glad amatør. 🤓 I går havde jeg alenetid for første gang siden Walter blev født, så jeg nød et par timer i haven i den dejlige forårssol. ☀️ Jeg elsker at følge med hos spændende hus- og haveprofiler her på Instagram, men af og til kan jeg blive ramt af sammenligningssygen: “wauw, hun ved bare så meget om …”, “hold da op, hvor er de gode til det der, hvorfor lykkes det ikke for mig?” og fortsæt selv i den rille.. 😏 Men i den sammenligning, glemmer jeg nogle vigtige mellemregninger. Måske har vedkommende mange års erfaring? Måske har de prøvet flere gange, før det lykkedes? Måske har de mange projekter som slet ikke ser Instagrams perfekte lys? Jeg har været lidt inde på det på profilen her før: jeg er drevet af lyst og intuition når det gælder projekter i haven. Jeg elsker at gå og rode i jorden og komme på ideer som skal afprøves. Det er sjældent der er langt fra tanke til handling når jeg har fundet på et nyt projekt (udover at nogle ting skal cleares med min bedre halvdel og så er der tidsaspektet, fordi børn..), men ellers elsker jeg at give den gas, at prøve ting af, ændre kurs undervejs og rette til. Det er min proces. Learning by doing. Learning by trying. I stedet for at dunke mig selv i hovedet over min måde, vil jeg prøve at omfavne den. Også selvom den har trange kår, når sammenligningssygen viser sig. Og det kan godt være jeg er en glad amatør, men nu er det altså også kun anden sæson som haveejer. Tænk hvor meget erfaring og klogskab jeg kan samle sammen de næste mange år. Stay tuned mens jeg udvikler mig til en klog, gammel havekone. 👵🏻😂 Kan du genkende mine tanker om ‘sammenligningssygen’? While on vacation and not feeling like eating at restaurants all the time but still wants to try new things. Lacking the basic supplies of home, cooking becomes even more simple than usual. Smoked marlin and fried Nopal cactus. The fish, which I obviously didn't smoke myself, was good, very flavorful, but a bit dry. Definitely in need of a sauce of some kind. The nopal was no highlight either, would have been better off in a salad or combined with other veggies. But interesting though. My 4 year old son has been played Dread everyday since release. Gave him some easier and simpler dash n gun games, like mega man X, but he do not wannna stop playing Dread. I helped him doing a 100% playthrough. He made it to Quite robe, about half the game, without me playing anything with the exception of the final phase of scorpius and I got bombs for him before he could beat kraid. Das soll eine Spülung sein, die noch vorhandene Beläge anfärbt, sodass die Kinder besser erkennen können wo sie noch nicht gut genug geputzt haben. MAN MÅ ALDRIG GI´ OP ... 🙃🙂 Sådan vil jeg gerne tænke. Også når opgaven forekommer umulig, må man dog blive ved med at prøve ... for hvem ved? - måske vil det alligevel lykkes 🙂 Jeg har haft min hjemmeside i en rum tid efterhånden. Samantha’s egg yolk came off its whites after bisque-firing for possible reasons such as: 1) the score and slip method could be done better. More slip, more wriggling would be good next time. 2) The moisture of the attachment was too different from the main body But since the egg is so cute, we wanted to find a way to make it work. Thanks to glass in glaze, it now sticks (albeit awkwardly) 😆 Learning pottery is about experiencing how materials and processes function.
