Κατακείμενα ξερά κλαδιά από τις εργασίες αποψίλωσης των δέντρων, παχύ στρώμα από πευκοβελόνες κι άλλα πεταμένα εύφλεκτα υλικά αυξάνουν κατακόρυφα τον κίνδυνο εκδήλωσης πυρκαγιάς. Κατά μήκος της επαρχιακής οδού, μετά από το ξενοδοχείο «Φιλίππειο» προς την Εξοχή, εκατέρωθεν του δρόμου σχηματίστηκε ένα «στρώμα», πάχους περίπου πέντε εκατοστών, έτοιμο να γίνει προσάναμμα για έναν απερίσκεπτο οδηγό που θα πετάξει τη γόπα του έξω από το παράθυρο του αυτοκινήτου του. His previous experience includes being the Deputy Chief of Party of the USAID Energy Investment Activity and the USAID Enterprise Energy Efficiency Project in BIH, and an Advisor/Intern at the Mission of BIH to the United Nations in New York on issues that concern energy efficiency, climate change, the environment, and sustainability. Since 2010, he has been the Executive Director of the America-Bosnia Foundation. Mak Kamenica holds a master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering - University of Sarajevo and a certificate in Business Project Management from New York University. Στην απόκοσμη ομορφιά της... Καππαδοκίας, εκατοντάδες χιλιόμετρα μακριά, μας ταξιδεύουν τα «Μπουχάρια», οι εντυπωσιακές γεωμορφές που αποτελούν τους πιο πρόσφατους γεωλογικούς σχηματισμούς του Γεωπάρκου Γρεβενών - Κοζάνης, ενώ κατηγοριοποιούνται στα παλαιότερα πετρώματα της Ελλάδας. «Ο σχηματισμός τους οφείλεται κυρίως στη διάβρωση, η οποία αφήνει τα ίχνη της πάνω τους και φροντίζει να χαρίζει εντυπωσιακές εικόνες. Η επίδραση του αέρα, του νερού, της θερμοκρασίας και της τεκτονικής, βοήθησε να μετακινηθούν βραχώδη τεμάχη από τους γειτονικούς ορεινούς όγκους και να μεταφερθούν σε χαμηλότερα υψόμετρα. Όταν αυτά βρέθηκαν πάνω σε χαλαρά ιζήματα, όπως άμμους και χαλίκια, λειτούργησαν προστατευτικά προς αυτά από τη διάβρωση, δημιουργώντας γεωμορφές που μοιάζουν με ψηλές καμινάδες», επισήμανε στη Greenagenda.gr η Άννα Μπατσή, Γεωλόγος M.Sc - Επιστημονική Υπεύθυνη Γεωπάρκου Γρεβενών – Κοζάνης. Οι εντυπωσιακές γεωμορφές εντοπίζονται στην περιοχή των Καμβουνίων, στο ανατολικό τμήμα του Γεωπάρκου Γρεβενών - Κοζάνης. Προήλθαν από διαδοχικές πλημμύρες και διάβρωση, από χιλιάδες χρόνια πριν έως και σήμερα. Ο κορμός τους αποτελείται από εδαφικά υλικά και θραύσματα πετρωμάτων, ο οποίος προστατεύεται από μεγαλύτερα τμήματα βράχων, που βρίσκονται στην κορυφή και άντεξαν στη διάβρωση. Η μεγάλη ανάπτυξή τους στο ρέμα Ποταμιά παρουσιάζει το συνεχώς εξελισσόμενο τοπίο, ένα από τα νεότερα στην Ελλάδα. Το Διεθνές #βραβείο στον τομέα της εφαρμοσμένης έρευνας «2024 Power Systems Protection Committee Prize Paper Award» της μεγαλύτερης παγκοσμίως τεχνολογικής επαγγελματικής κοινότητας ΙΕΕΕ (Ινστιτούτο Ηλεκτρολόγων και Ηλεκτρονικών Μηχανικών), απονεμήθηκε στην ερευνητική εργασία, με τίτλο «Προστασία σταθμών φόρτισης ηλεκτρικών οχημάτων με τη χρήση διατάξεων προστασίας έναντι υπερτάσεων». Η απονομή του Βραβείου θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Λας Βέγκας, στις 19 Μαΐου 2024, στο πλαίσιο του Παγκόσμιου Συνεδρίου «2024 Industrial & Commercial Power Systems Technical Conference». Το βραβείο δόθηκε από το Τμήμα Βιομηχανικών και Εμπορικών Συστημάτων Ηλεκτρικής Ενέργειας του ΙΕΕΕ. Πρόκειται για το «Βραβείο Καλύτερης Ερευνητικής Εργασίας» που επιλέχθηκε από την Επιτροπή Προστασίας Συστημάτων Ηλεκτρικής Ενέργειας, για το έτος 2024. Το αντικείμενο της πρωτότυπης εργασίας αφορά στην ανάπτυξη μεθόδων προστασίας σταθμών φόρτισης, με σκοπό τον περιορισμό των αστοχιών του εξοπλισμού διανομής ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας και της πιθανότητας απώλειας της λειτουργικότητας διασυνδεδεμένων ηλεκτρικών οχημάτων λόγω κεραυνικών πληγμάτων. Στο 8ο Φεστιβάλ Ανακύκλωσης Θεσσαλονίκης, που συνεχίζεται για δεύτερη ημέρα στο περίπτερο 15 της ΔΕΘ-Helexpo, μαθητές σχολείων μπορούν να ενημερώνονται για το πρότζεκτ της αστικής καλλιέργειας «open farm». Πρόκειται για ένα δίκτυο ανοικτών αγροκτημάτων της Ελλάδας που συνδέει τους ενήλικες και τα #παιδιά με την προέλευση της τροφής. Το #καινοτόμο αυτό πρότζεκτ δημιουργήθηκε από μια ομάδα επαγγελματιών της αγροδιατροφής στην Αθήνα το 2019 και αποσκοπεί στην εκπαίδευση μαθητών για τη βιώσιμη #διατροφή και τις καλλιέργειες σε αστικό #περιβάλλον. «Αν θα φάμε θρεπτικά τρόφιμα εξαρτάται από το υγιές έδαφος», επισήμανε στη Greenagenda.gr το μέλος της ομάδας του δικτύου Open farm Βάσω Γιατσίδου.
