Un jour, elle craque devant sa mère. Elle retourne voir la psychiatre de son enfance qui l’aide à sortir de sa phase dépressive. La transition vers l’âge adulte de cette « génération Covid » a été particulièrement rude lors de la crise sanitaire. L’université de Bordeaux a mené plusieurs études à ce sujet chez les 18-25 ans, avant et après la crise sanitaire, à la rentrée 2022. Résultat : 41 % des étudiants interrogés en 2022 présentent des symptômes dépressifs modérés à sévères, contre 26 % avant le Covid. Les idées suicidaires ont également dangereusement gagné du terrain, passant de 21 % à 29 %. « La tendance qu’on observe, c’est qu’il n’y a pas eu de retour à la normale à la fin des confinements, explique Mélissa Macalli, l’épidémiologiste qui a mené cette étude. Les psychologues sur le terrain accueillent davantage de jeunes avec des cas plus complexes à traiter. » Quatre ans après le début de la pandémie, nous avons rencontré une dizaine d’étudiants bientôt diplômés de master. Most of us with #longcovid are suffering in silence. We can look perfectly happy and normal (what ever that is :) ) and to the average person we might look perfectly happy and to some just simply a bit lazy. I am slowly learning to live in somewhat #symbiosis with my #silentillness and to also speak up for myself as well as when needed but that is still in process. Most of us have been let down by the healthcare system on numerous occasions, gotten #misdiagnosed , partly diagnosed or not being taken seriously at all. I felt so ill and weak, I was not being able to hold a conversation, walk up any small stairs, my #mentalhealth was in shambles as I could not predict how my body would react to situations. I told the doctor all. I even cried as I felt my #life and #soul is being take away from me. He listened and then he said. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU. IF THERE WAS, WE WOULD KNOW. IT IS #psychosomatik IT IS ALL IN YOUR HEAD. These words haunt tme till today. I am not alone, you are not alone. We are in this together and we will heal and grow together. There are numerous ways we can speak op. Ourselves by voice or by message. By our advocate (friend or parent). Kinder, die 2020 und 2021 während der Pandemie zur Welt kamen, schnitten in Tests für Sprachentwicklung, Problemlösen und Motorik, im Vergleich mit den Babys, die zwischen 2011 und 2019 geboren wurden, im Durchschnitt schlechter ab. Die möglichen Gründe: 👉 Kontaktbeschränkungen. Kindern hatten weniger Möglichkeit zur sozialen Interaktion; 👉 Pandemiebedingte Stress in der Schwangerschaft, könnte sich negativ auf die Hirnentwicklung des Kindes auswirken. 🤔 Wie groß und wie dauerhaft die Effekte sind, ist noch unklar. Forscher gehen davon aus, dass die meisten Kinder etwaige Entwicklungsdefizite wieder aufholen können. ‼️ Allerdings zeigen die Ergebnisse nochmal deutlich, wie wichtig die ersten 1000 Tage im Leben eines Kindes sind! Caring for a newborn is already hard enough. During the pandemic, new parents have endured significant life changes with little to no support. These times have been uniquely trying for many of the roughly seven million families that welcomed a baby in 2020 and 2021. Fear of getting sick, isolation from extended family, and the stress of caring for a newborn were a recipe for postpartum anxiety. Postpartum depression and anxiety have increased dramatically during the pandemic, with steeper increases among people of color. “This brought isolation in a way we’ve never dealt with, to be left alone during a period that requires community, requires family and togetherness,” said Evana Cooper, an assistant midwife and doula based in New Jersey. Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the 1st day of lockdown in the UK. I can still remember watching the announcement in disbelief. My 10 year old daughter jumping up and down with her little friend Delighted with the prospect of an extended holiday. I was still married then I still saw my patients in my lovely rooms in Marylebone I still got on tubes and trains twice a week to go to work And was ill accustomed to working from home or Zoom appointments And yet here I am 2 years on Still not sure if I should be moving into IRL, face to face therapy sessions And missing being in the same room as my clients and colleagues I'm speaking at a conference next week that looks at what we experienced during the pandemic. What parents and parents-to-be experienced and Survived Whilst pregnant Whilst giving birth Whilst trying to breastfeed And survive the early days post partum. Many of the parents coming through the Parenthood In Mind practice are still processing or living with the impacts of the pandemic On their mental health Their bond with their baby Their relationship with their partner. Some are pregnant again and dealing with the trauma only now Others are struggling with leaving their LO in childcare Others are still parenting in isolation having missed out on the village Others still are struggling with mental health issues that they're only now getting support with So how have you found today? Treffen Sie mit den Azubis konkrete Vereinbarungen und bieten Sie ihre Unterstützung an. Wichtig ist immer die Frage: Woran können Sie als Ausbildende erkennen, dass die Azubis es umsetzen? 📌 6. Feedbackgespräche führen Nichts ist für die heutige Generation so wichtig wie Feedback. Daher ist es ein Muss, feste Feedbackintervalle mit den Azubis zu definieren. Diese gilt es umzusetzen.
