We’ve been regular visitors to the dressing clinic at the walk in centre in town the last couple of weeks. Tonight we walked through the underpass on our way and this bit of art caught my attention. While my husband was out running this morning a wasp took a deep dislike to him and also seemed weirdly obsessed (was not happy to sting him just once). My husband then had an allergic reaction. Luckily, we are staying at my mums at the moment so we were able to leave the children with her so we could go and get him checked out at the hospital. The staff wanted to keep him there a while to observe him and make sure the medication worked. Silver linings: 🎉Spontaneous & rare kid-free coffee date in the waiting area! 🎉Prompted cuteness from our 4 year old who made sure to give him her hospital bear, Kiwi, to help look after him (the photo is the one we sent to her via my mum to show what a good job Kiwi did) 🎉Got to have and witness some gorgeous interactions between NHS staff and left feeling really positive about humanity. 🎉Had a great laugh at how lost I got in the hospital trying to find the coffee for our impromptu date because I find it impossible to listen to directions So all-in-all, although it’s caused some complications in our day, and some pain for Mark, the whole thing has put us in high spirits!
