It was wonderful to beyond so many panels and get to have fun with so many wonderful different folks of different backgrounds perspectives and we really had one amazing experience. But now it’s back to the grind and back to the daily work loads to try and help move things forward in a positive direction for the world is a hole. Dear Ghoul Fam, With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Samantha Davis. She was an amazing person, activist, and brilliant actress. She was also married to Warwick Davis, who is one of the actors that shaped my childhood with his incredible acting chops in movies such as a Star Wars and Willow. I wish nothing but the sincerest condolences and love to the Davis family and hope that her legacy continues to inspire for centuries to come. And the reason this Home particular will be hard is because I know for a fact it just how authentic both Samantha and Warwick are when I first came back to the states. I wrote a letter explaining to Mr. Davis how much his role in Willow had meant to me as stories where the oppressed or unassuming heroes mirrored events my family experienced. Hey Ghoul Fam, I am just popping on to share this gorgeous candle made by @fear.bootique ! First things first, this is not a paid ad for this amazing creator! Also, I wanted to point this out because I am highly allergic to everything and she uses essential oils to make the candles. Whatever base oil she’s using are delicate enough to not aggravate my asthma, but strong enough to Really fill a room with a lovely fresh scent. The candle itself is called Eerie Egg Hunt and it is a combination of lemongrass, honeysuckle and rose petals and it smells absolutely lovely. I also got a sample of Bunny Bites (now a lot of her sense are utilized throughout her oils, candles, home sprays, and other items there are a few exceptions to that so Egg Hunt I purchased in candle form, & the sample of Bunny Bites is in room spray form) which smells like the blueberry pancakes w/maple syrup my mom made for me when I was little. Both came expertly, wrapped and protected because I don’t know about you guys but if you’re local Post Office is anything like ours, they’re understaffed, underpaid, and sometimes not very delicate because of both of those things and being overworked, so male tends to get banged up quite a bit, but the packaging made sure that everything arrived safely and in perfect order. The candle burns for 36 hours according to the Bootique and there’s also a little crystal inside that she’s included in each of her candles. If you haven’t checked her out, please go and give her account some love. So 17 years ago, a girl missed her original first date due to a missed flight because a certain airline lost my ticket. Then on this day that same length of time ago, due to some really amazing family friends reading the airlines, the riot act I was able to make it back to Maryland in time for the spring semester and my first date with The tall drink of water that is now my husband. Hey Ghoul Fam, We’re still recovering from a head cold that seem to come from plague-town, but we’re finally on the mend and we have some fun stuff planned for the new year. Hey Ghoul Fam , sorry it’s been a while after Salem we came down with a case of the horrible head cold and we’re out of commission for a while so I wanted to share some artwork that I’m working on a menu for the shop and testing out some early Christmas presents which are skin tone, sharpie markers, which I’m loving so far. Unfortunately my picture of the more Melanated mermaid doesn’t do her justice but in person the color is a very deep and rich color and it blends really well. I was concerned it was gonna be hard to pick up features, because sometimes companies fumble the darker skin tones in marker format. Also, I have a bunch of new decks that I want to review and I’m also going to set up some short classes if anyone is interested. My only regret is that I didn’t get to see some of my vendor friends As we were in different areas and the night was super busy in the reading room so I can only imagine and hope that it was incredibly busy in the main vendor area. Just wanted to share with everyone what a great experience Stratford Psychic Fair was! The @tworoadsbrewing staff couldn’t have been more helpful or attentive, the venue is very pretty & inviting on the inside while appearing far more industrial on the exterior façade. The event had fabulous healers & vendors & we’re looking forward to hanging with our ParaConn/Psychic Fam later this year for the next event. Hi Ghoul Fam, I don’t usually try to push for petition signing unless it’s for a really good cause. For anybody who knows me online and IRL my entire link to FANDOM comes from a love of books, films, movies, and series, where the protagonists are often not your traditional hero in fact, quite the opposite they’re usually a little guy who would get run over or sidelined in a traditional hero story. In fact, my obsession with Star Wars started, because I fell in love with the character of Wicket W Warrick from the Ewok films. I also was a huge fan of the film willow, even though it terrified me as a child. At the time I did not know that my favorite Ewok and my favorite wizard for the same actor fast forward to many decades later my pension for storytelling and my love of all things nerd stem from this original love. Currently @disney & @disneyplus Are about to do us all a great disservice by removing the Willow series (A sequel to the original film.) from their streaming platform. It’s a disservice that is twofold. As one, it breaks the heart of fans like me and other 80s kids, but even more so it is the removal of an incredibly positive piece of representation for people with dwarfism. This past Saturday, May 13th we were able to be vendors at the amazing and absolutely phenomenally fun 2nd Annual Delaware Mystic Fest and we just wanted to extend our gratitude to the event coordinators, and the patrons who made the event absolutely phenomenally fun despite the weather, being a little bit, a lot a bit rainy and wet. We also wanted to give a shout out to the food vendors, who valiantly made delicious edibles for all of us there, despite the torrential rain: @luckyshotcoffeeco (Whose cardamom honey coffee available in hot or cold - I had the hot version - was a revelation.) , Fiona‘s fish and chips (the fish was super tender, flaky and moist and absolutely delicious.), R & J Pride Lemonade ( their lemonades & snacks were absolutely scrumptious), & last but definitely not least Zaikka’s on Wheels which is Mediterranean & Indian inspired cuisine ( Their paneer tikka masala bowl and the hummus plate were to die for). We sincerely hope that this wonderful one day festival is just an opener for a great rest of the summer for everybody involved.
