The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba 🩵 I really wanted to go to, and eat at the Ritz-Carlton whilst here and we needed somewhere for lunch so I messaged them on instagram this morning and they responded quite quickly advising they were able to cater for gluten free. We took a trip down and spoke to the server who was the most attentive, and most knowledgeable we have spoken to so far. I felt in safe hands straight away. They advised they can make all the tacos and nachos gluten free, and they also had bread and wraps available. Everything is prepared and cooked seperately, even the chips in their own dedicated fryer. I opted for the ‘Trio of fish tacos’ which was 1x shrimp, 1x lobster & 1x mahi mahi. I’d been wanting to try mahi mahi since being here and thought this was a good way to do it! (Obviously I chose the most expensive thing on the menu at $35. Bank accounts currently having a heart attack) 😂 I definitely made the right choice though cause it was honestly SO good!! Finally got my hands on the fully loaded fries from @nandosuk 🙌 My local halal @nandosuk usually refuses to serve me this, as it’s made on the same grill as the garlic bread but I recently discovered if I visit off-peak hours they are happy to serve me due to there being a very less chance of cross contamination because they aren’t busy and have time to clean the grill. After a bit of negative press on their allergen menus last year about pasta being boiled in the same water, I meticulously checked the allergen booklet and ensured I would have no issues! I asked about the same water, the same fryers and even enquired about ensuring the deep fried sage was seperate too! My waiter was really helpful and talked me through everything and I had a really good experience! 🍅 Mozzarella, Basil, and Tomato Arancini To kick off the meal, I opted for the mozzarella, basil, and tomato arancini. These golden, crispy balls of joy were a fantastic start to say the least! Both me and Chloe loved them!😍 The arancini were perfectly fried, with a crunchy exterior that contained a creamy and flavorful interior. Delicious and 10/10 would have again! 🍝 Gluten-Free Crispy Prosciutto Carbonara For the main course, I couldn’t resist trying the gluten-free crispy prosciutto carbonara. It came with a huge dollop of mascarpone on the top to make it super rich and creamy! The crispy prosciutto added a delightful crunch, complementing the rest of the dish perfectly! 🍹 Rasberry Mojito - this was a delicious fresh start to the meal, with that extra punch of sweetness from the raspberry! 📣 May is Coeliac Awareness Month 📣 Yesterday we looked at what Coeliac Disease was. Today it’s all about symptoms…now everyone always thinks that it must be that your stomach explodes and you’ll be running to the toilet if you consume any gluten. For some, that is the case but there are many other symptoms which you might never suspect! For me, I had one of the “silent symptoms” - anaemia. Apart from bloating, I had no other tummy troubles and still don’t if I accidentally get glutened. What symptoms do you get? Or are you someone who hasn’t got coeliac but recognise some of these symptoms? As always, seek advice from a professional and don’t just suddenly cut gluten from your diet without guidance. 🚨 New gluten free cereal alert 🚨 @eat_surreal kindly gifted me a variety pack of their cereal to try and I just want to add there was no obligation to post my review. But as soon as i tried the first box I've come running to tell everyone about it!! 🤣😍 I haven't been very well so I've had these sitting in my kitchen for a week staring at me waiting to be eaten 😂 The first thing i noticed about the brand was the fun packaging, gluten free often means plain packaging. They did not hold back on smell and taste or texture!!! My husband agrees!! (and he can eat gluten). It's the best cereal I've ever had, gluten and gluten free! They've managed to get the texture of peanut butter into the cereal and didn't cut back on the flavour at all 😍😍😍 and the milk turns all peanut buttery 😋😂 I dont think words can explain just how much i enjoyed it! This month is Coeliac Disease Awareness Month 💚. Approximately 1 in 100 people in the UK have coeliac disease. Our friends at @coeliacuk say only 4 in 10 people who have the condition have been diagnosed, meaning around half a million people have coeliac disease but don’t yet know 🤯. This is why awareness of this condition is so important. This month, you can help us to raise awareness of this misunderstood condition by sharing this post, sharing your experiences on your own social media channels and encouraging conversations surrounding our guts and everything that they do. Meet the team - Leanne 🧡 My daughter Katy was diagnosed just before her 3rd birthday, it took almost 1 year to get an accurate result because we were advised to take her off gluten to see if it helped. After a false negative, we were advised that she had to go through the painful process of reintroducing gluten to get an accurate result, which we did Her symptoms mainly focused on her being very tiny for her age and always having loose stools and tummy aches. Once she was diagnosed, we (her daddy, myself and her two sisters) were all tested and to my surprise I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease too. I was told that my upset tummy’s and bloating were because I had IBS. When Katy was diagnosed, she had to have two positive blood tests. I had a blood test and then a follow up endoscopy. Now Katy and I love creating yummy gluten free alternatives and we really enjoy finding new places to eat where they take pride in being inclusive to all diners 😊 I started volunteering with the @ywcgroup in 2018 1 in 100 people have coeliac disease so it's not rare, yet only 36% people with the condition in the UK are medically diagnosed. It's time for that to change. We want to help Coeliac UK raise awareness and get more people on the road to recovery - it all starts with a simple free online self-assessment If you're experiencing persistent symptoms like stomach pain, extreme fatigue, anaemia, or if your child is vomiting, or has slow growth - it is recommended to take the self-assessment or to find out if you should speak to your healthcare professional about being tested. Homemade Pizza 🍕 Night in tonight making pizzas and having an early night as we are absolutely shattered! I flew some @scharglutenfreeuk gluten free pizza bases over to the Caribbean with me 🤣 and picked up some pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni from Superfoods and then we chopped up some of the leftover hotdogs too. Of course I had to pick up some mayo for the side too 😁 I do love the schar bases and my gluten eating boyfriend likes them too! Cake Craving 🎂🍫🍰 When you went to the birthday party but can't eat the cake because it's not glutenfree 🙈 #ifyouknowyouknow #coeliacproblems Got that chocolate cake slices from our local @tescofood express store after coming back from birthday party to fulfill my craving😬 £2.90 I didn't like those cake slices much as it was too sweet for me and I'm not a huge fan of chocolate flavoured things anyways. Tesco express is extremely expensive and prices are much higher than supermarkets stores, really disappointed. •M&S Made Without Wheat Farmhouse Cheddar & Tomato Sandwich 🥪 • Saturday I went into Norwich to find an outfit for my friend’s wedding. For lunch I went to M&S to see if I could get to toastie but they didn’t have any left(I was gutted as I haven’t tried it yet.) Instead I went to the meal deal section and chose their new cheese and tomato sandwich which I really enjoyed. I think the price was discounted as it was new to £3.50 instead of £4. As a coeliac it’s always tough trying to decide where to eat (/ where is safe for us to eat) My top chain restaurants to eat at are: 🍔 @edsdiners - if you want a good burger with a bun that doesn’t disintegrate, this is your place to go to. Super tasty and very knowledgeable staff. 🥣 @tortillauk - great for food on the go. Come with me to go to @folly.emerson for lunch! Decided to pop in here for a quick bite and it was really good! They have a separate ‘NCGI’ menu, as well as separate fryers for everything that goes into a fryer! They are part of @marstonsbrewery so hopefully if I visit another, I know I’ll be in safe hands! I went for: 🥣 Houmous (with green pesto and gf bread) - this was delicious and so fresh wuth the pesto on top! I’m a sucker for pesto so was a huge fan of this! 🍔 Cheese and bacon burger with chips - this was also delicious and a proper nice burger, with 2 smashed patties and loads of Monterey Jack cheese, what a combo! We were too full for dessert by the end, but it’s safe to say I was pleasantly surprised with the gf options at @folly.emerson 😍 if ever in local and need a bit of pub grub, I’ll be sure to pop in 😍💜

Aldi fruit snacks 🍌🍉🍒 these were in the baby food section at @aldiuk which I would never normally go to but as I was walking past I spotted these fruit bars, roll ups, and rice cakes which look sooo tasty! As a coeliac I always have snacks on hand and I’ve been trying to reduce the amount of refined sugar I’m having, especially in snacks.
