We want to take y’all on a #flashbackfriday post to our FIRST actual trip as “CastCandids” back in July of 2023. We typically post from our most recent visit, but thought Friday would be a good day to occasionally go back to older trips so former cast members can maybe spot themselves or people they used to make magic with. Some of these shots bring back such nostalgic memories. The nerves that were running through our veins, not knowing how to introduce ourselves, “what happens if a Cm yells at us?” were all normal thoughts throughout the day. There were days we didn’t know if this would all work out. But we kept trying. We moved forward with the vision of spreading a little bit of cheer to these CMs who are working so hard. The messages, smiles and abundance of love we would get would heavily outweigh any of the negatives. And here we are, 8 months later and still being able to do what we love. PROUD would be an understatement for this community we’ve built over the past few months. Some people think we’ve been doing this for years, and the truth is, we’re totally new to this too and STILL learning as we go. So… on this particular visit, we made a stop at Norway to get our fix of Schoolbread and Viking Coffee (if you haven’t had these yet, you’re totally missing out and we HIGHLY recommend them). Anyways, these Cast Members shown here were so fun and friendly and the next thing we knew, we were having a whole photoshoot in the shop. Thank goodness it was slow and they had time to interact with us, but was definitely a highlight of our trip — another reminder to please come talk to us when you see us. This might be a long post— hopefully you make it to the end, but it may get a little sappy, so just forewarning yall ahead of time… It’s been truly unbelievable the amount of support we’ve gotten since starting this little CastCandids project. This community and family we’ve built in such a short amount is truly something dreams are made of. We remember starting this whole thing and being super excited when we reached 500 followers. Now, we’re aiming to reach 6k by the end of this month! We can’t thank the cast members enough who share, talk and get excited when we come to visit. When you share and like our content, it helps us be more visible to others, and we truly appreciate yall for doing that for us. Our vision always has, and always will be to deliver magic back to Disney’s hard working cast members. This page is as much yours as it is ours. We want to see you shine and acknowledge your hard work and dedication to the magic. We know it’s not easy, we’ve been in your shoes before. One of the coolest things we’ve ever done was talk to the Cultural Representative Program Cast Members in the UK and they taught us that we can learn about our family name’s origin, history and even coat of arms. Of course, we ended up getting the whole package and now have it proudly framed in our home. Highly recommend! Hoping to do something cool from each country that we can take home next time. Fun Fact: We have never had the fish and chips here.
