Mix garlic powder, salt, pepper, and oregano in a bowl. Season the beef roast evenly with this mixture. In a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add oil. Brown the roast on all sides. Happy FriYay Friday #19 - #2024. Got inspired by a Vietnamese Scallion sauce recipe I saw in @177milkstreet. I need to start by saying I love this bar. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Next I need to say I’m not a fan of a dip if it looks like deli meat. With that being said, this dip did not do southern food proud. It looked like it was phoned in. Meat -deli like, cheese was ok, au jus was fine and bread was edible. It did not disappoint, nor did the bourbon mule. From there it's a short stroll to the long-planned target: @colesfrenchdip. One of the two places that claims to have invented the #frenchdip - with similar tales of toothless customers who needed a way to soften crusty bread and thus the #aujus / #gravy side was born - Cole's was the first restaurant I went to on my first visit to #la so I have a soft spot for the place, their #pickleback, THAT sandwich and the splendid "secret" bar @thevarnish.la. Food was the best I've had here, the #bartenderschoice drink as good as ever, ditto the company of @cassamlooch @joaypr and @gmuzeta. A fine start to the LA leg of #californiagraze24
