När vi påbörjade projekt Kaninhörnan så visste vi att vi ville få plats med kaninbur, odlingslåda, krukor med kryddor, paprika, tomater och perenner. En bänk/soffa i kvällssolen och så plats för häng med kaninerna på marken. Kaninburen skulle målas grön som mycket annat i vårt hem, och rosa som accentfärg, precis som inomhus. Ute är det nya inne alltså ✌🏼 Kaninburen är målad i kulören ’Dewy Green’ från @jotunsverige 🫡 I krukorna blommar nejlikrot ’Pretticoats Peach’, bukettviol ’Molly Sanderson’ i zinkbaljan, höstsilverax (föreställ er doften av smultron under sensommaren 🥹), paprika, lavendel, bärbuskar på stam, kryddor som timjan, citronmeliss, basilika ’Magic Mountain’, lakritstagetes. Gemensamt för majoriteten är att de blommar i rosa/lila nyans som gifter sig så fint till det gröna. Just a month after planting and this garden has really come into its own. It has been great collaborating with @rcphillipsgardenanddriveway on this project and help create this beautiful space producing a planting proposal, plant supply and placing ready for Russell and his team to plant. The wet and warm weather we have had the past month has really helped the planting settle and fill out (along with the chicken manure). The Alliums are popping and the Geum ‘Mai Tai’, Dryopteris erythrosora and the Anemanthele lessoniana is the dreamiest combination this time of year and compliment the specimen trees which were already in situ perfectly. The Hydrangeas, Stipa gigantea and Verbena will soon follow with their spectacular display. Hallo ihr Lieben, seit Anfang des Jahres schon befinde ich mich in einem Insta-Tief. Sicher ist euch aufgefallen, dass ich weniger poste, und weniger Kommentare schreibe. Die ganze Zeit habe ich über eine Pause nachgedacht, aber es fiel mir schwer, wegen den Menschen, die mir hier so ans Herz gewachsen sind. Dieses Jahr haben wir einige Projekte vor und hinter uns, zum einen, da letztes Jahr wenig Zeit dafür war, und zum anderen, da dieses Jahr zusätzlich manches dringend in Stand gesetzt werden muss, und ich merke, dass mir langsam die Luft ausgeht. Deswegen habe ich mich entschlossen tatsächlich eine Pause hier einzulegen, damit ich mich ganz auf unsere Baustellen konzentrieren kann, und kein schlechtes Gewissen habe, weil mir eure posts entgehen. Bestimmt wird nach einer Weile wieder die Neugier siegen, auf jeden Fall werde ich euch vermissen, und vielleicht komme ich mit neuen Ideen zurück. Brimming with colour. After the spring bulbs, it's Geum and Allium time! Completed last October, this back garden is now ready to be fully enjoyed. Where before there was nothing to draw my clients into the garden, there are now three functional areas surrounded by beautiful plants: dining under a new, contemporary metal pergola; lounging under a large parasol, and a much needed seating corner in the shade on the lower lawn. From that position, they can now enjoy a full view of the garden and new planting, from the cool blues/purples and whites near the dining and lounging areas to the hotter oranges, yellows and reds behind the garage wall. Only downside? New improved soil, happier weeds! I’ve always lusted after geums in floral arrangement books, but finally planted some of my own last fall, not knowing if they’d survive the winter being planted so late in the fall. Now they’re starting to bloom and they’re magical! They’re still on very very short stems but I’m hoping they’ll eventually get longer stems as they bloom later on. I’m scaling back my garden this year but of course I’m also cheating and sneaking in special things like these. 💗 #geum
