Our second ceremony was a REBIRTH! 🌸🎂✨ This ceremony featured sensory deprivation, and an inward music journey. 🎧 Participants listened to a 2 hour music journey that would guide them through creating new ways of being. The brain is powerful; and we have the ability to form new pathways, connections, and habits at any time. When we create stillness within the body, and allow ourselves to access the subconscious through music and meditation: powerul things can happen. Each participant experienced their own unique visualizations, stories and pictures being painted by the Higher Self and Spirit! In the morning, everyone was directed to begin their day with sun gazing! “Photosensitive cells in the eye also directly affect the brain’s hypothalamus, which controls our biological clock. This influences our circadian rhythm, not just important for jet lag but for normal sleep patterns, hormone regulation, increased reaction time, and behavior. Most cells in the body have an important cyclic pattern when working optimally, so potentially, just about any area of the body can falter without adequate sun stimulation.” We then got to our mat and began our day with intention and in connection to our bodies. I led group a Reiki Session and taught everyone to use their own breathwork to influence an area within their bodies that was bringing them pain or discomfort. During this session we moved energy through each chakra as I taught about what is governed by each area. Everyone received a few cards and spent some time journaling before breakfast. Later in the morning, participants engaged in some personal time while I connected with everyone for a 1:1 session. Each participant attended the retreat with their own goals and desires; this was our chance to connect the “threads” of the weekend this far that Spirit had been unraveling before them. ✨ During their free time guests could walk outside, reflect, journal, engage with cards and tools within the “library”, - even a little integration (nap) if necessary! 🧘🏼♀️ Alissa led a movement practice to deepen our connection and awareness to the body and the ways it is asking us to move. 🌀 In my own participation of the movement session, I found myself lying on the floor connecting to the ground…and other times jumping and stomping at the altar space in jubilation! 👣 After that we enjoyed a lunch served by Chef Torrie. I worked at a school and turned around and this was in my face. LOVE YOURSELF! Not in a narcissistic way, it means self care! And showing other people it’s ok to care for themselves too! We love to carry you in and out of guided meditations to help transport you to a different place. 🔮 This process can feel less challenging than the stereotypical way of meditating (“close your eyes, stay present, be in the moment”) that might have turned many of us off in the past. • Sometimes we share what came up during this journey with the entire retreat group.
