Pretty cotton and tencel warp I just finished using leftover yarn from warping a scarf I made a while back. 8/2 Cotton: blue, white, white bouclé Tencel: copper, silver I think it’s close to the 14 meters or so that my warping board can produce. It’s for band weaving on my Saori loom! 😁A lot of ladies at my guild use inkle looms to make bands for bags, lanyards, and keychains etc, but I don’t really want to use an inkle loom when I can make good bands on my floor loom! First warp chain times two is finished. Forty two meters long (45.93 yards), we have two looms waiting to be threaded in rep weave. The set up for rep weave can be quite the process, but once it’s done the weaving is quicker. Of course forty two yards won’t be done overnight and then there’s the treadling pattern. That’s why we put the two looms in the loft. Winding the warp is the first step when making a handwoven textile. It takes great concentration, and a lot of planning, as any mistake will ‘haunt’ you till the end 👻.
