Finally I had time to post photos from Nagoshi-no-harae and Chinowa service. やっとこさ、夏越の祓と茅の輪神事の写真をアップしました。@shusseinarishrine ＃夏越しの祓え ＃茅の輪 On the day of the Service, June 30th, 2019, we performed the service for Nagoshi-no-Harae in our traditional ritual way that has been passed down from generation to generation through the long history of Shusse Inari Shrine. We read each person’s name and address who sent/handed Hitogata during the service to pray for their purification, good fortune, and happiness, as well as to recharge their spirit for a safe and healthy summer and 2nd half of the year. We pray that you will continue receiving the blessings of the Shusse Inari Spirits. Also participants built then walked through the large Chinowa wreath to pray for good health, safety, and happiness through the second half of the year. Arigato gozaimasu #VeniceLearningGarden for sharing bamboo to this ceremony. BLAZING SUNSHINE! Paid a 4th of July visit over to the @seedlibraryofla gang at the Venice Learning Garden for their fun Ice Cream Social today. Highlights included talking 'mato varietals with Eleu, a #TCM plant garden tour, carrot cake ice cream, comedically attempting complicated photography angles in extremely tight high-waisted pants, a Cream Sausage tomato gift, a drive to and from Venice with no traffic, and stellar mixes on KDay . So much stuffed into my first field trip there! Plus seeing sweet sweet sunflowers and amaranth all over the place. :) Happy Fourth, y'all! #behappy #playsafe
