Saw this in a group I'm in and felt SEEN. Quick one on tools of the trade. You do NOT need lots of (or indeed any) fancy "special" equipment to practice your Craft. My crowded altar and burgeoning cupboards might indicate otherwise, but I'm part-Magpie, love thrifting / charity shops, have access to lots of pretties via local metaphysical witchy shops like @thepurplespell (and very generous and thoughtful friends), and have been at this since my teens so of course mine is a bit "extra". And that's fine! But. If I don't have a "special" tool, I'll absolutely use the "mundane" equivalent and consecrate it for purpose. A beautiful synchronicity was revealed to me when I opened the pink envelope sent to me by Oneness Emporium, along with my order... For the past 3 weeks or so, I have been repeatedly pulling the Ace of Swords and 8 of Cups in both my own readings and for my partner. The deck I've been using for this is The Ink Witch Tarot, which shows sword of the Ace of Swords, held aloft by a feminine hand, in the foreground with a King Arthur-like figure making his way across the body of water, towards the sword... why is this depiction important? Because it shows my partner, who has gone through an enormous amount of spiritual and personal growth in the past three years, and who is now feeling mental clarity as a result, who is in the process of making his way to me, from overseas. The 8 of Cups is his realisation that his old/current situation is not making him happy and so he is setting off (again, note the water) to find emotional fulfilment.
