I was playing around with tarot pairings for the Supra Oracle this morning and after a few decks, I found that Terra Volatile was the best fit. I got an eerily similar message yesterday morning from the Lilifer Tarot and Roots and Wings Oracle: my cards were Direction, Page of Wands and the Tower. Here we have Transformation, Death, and the Page of Wands. I’ve talked about how I’ve had the Death card looming over me for a while trying to indicate a change as a result of an end to a cycle. This chapter is closing, but a new pathway is opening up to explore with the Page of Wands. This chapter has been closing slowly which is why Death has been lingering, but the Page brings a sense of hope here. It’s interesting that in the Terra Volatile, the Page of Wands is very vibrant and lively whereas the other Wands courts look almost dark and destructive, so that’s why I feel a sense of hope in the Page of Wands in this deck particularly and I think it’s because she looks so innocent walking into the forest. Deck Review: Terra Volatile I purchased and recieved Terra Volatile, the expansion pack, and the book in September/October. When I first received the deck, I had so much fun choosing the cards I wanted in the deck. Both the main deck and expansion come with many alternate cards. It really makes the deck feel like it’s yours and helped me to feel more bonded to the deck as well. I have duplicate cards in this deck, because I couldn’t choose which one I wanted. I also kept the suit of vessels as a way of learning something new. The art isn’t generally my style—I almost always skip these types of paintings in museums. Yet, I was really drawn to this deck and the art has become some of my favorite in my collection. It has a way of being both expressive and unobtrusive. It allows you to either take it at face value or look deeper into the symbolism and art of the card. The card stock is a nice linen finish and it feels sturdy but flexibile. For me, it’s a bit slippery but I’ve always been able to shuffle it overhand with very few issues. Terra Volatile reads very straight to the point. I feel like it gives me really honest answers, even when I don’t want them. The large guidebook is incredible. The extra art, unused cards, card descriptions, art history, and everything that went into it is so well-thought out and explained in a way that is easy to digest. I love the book and seeing the art of the cards on a larger scale allows you to look deeper if you wish to do so. You can also access many of the meanings of the cards on the website which is a plus for tarot on the go. For the March challenge, I loved the insights I gained from this deck. Terra Volatile had a strong overall message of choosing and seeking balance, fairness, and justice. Overall, this deck is an honest and balanced reader for me. It’s very straightforward and doesn’t mess around. Normally, I wouldn’t do two different readings in a row with the same tarot deck, but I wanted to finish out the challenge. I also thought the last two questions needed a separate shuffle and draw. Day 28: How can I prioritize my personal needs and self today, honoring myself? The Alchemist: take time to use your tools to create. You can take care of yourself just as well as anyone else. Day 29: What positive habit or routine have I established recently? Justice: you have worked on balance and fariness. You act with integrity in all that you do. Photo 2: Day 30: (Draw up to three cards) What valuable insights have I gained about myself this month? The World: sometimes the hardest lessons are those that present new opportunities. You maybe have struggled but there is joy and accomplishment around the corner. Knight of Vessels: communicate with intention and work towards finding things that mentally stimulate you. Eight of Swords: the prisons we but ourselves in see often escapable if we are willing to take the first step. Day 20: What can I do to be more mindful of myself when I am being self-critical? One of the things I like about Terra Volatile is that when I don’t accept the first answer, the deck gives me a different card with a very similar meaning. I think it’s the deck’s way of saying “accept the answer, I know what I’m talking about.” Today the Four of Vessels fell out first, but I chalked it up to poor shuffling and put it back in. Then I drew The Moon. The guidebook describes them very similarly. When I am being self-critical, I am giving in to my fears. I should work to integrate my shadow side, purge my negative emotions, and trust my intuition. Often, when I am being self-critical, I’m only focusing on a tiny detail rather than the full picture. Ensin pöytään nousi Miekkojen VII ja kuningatar sekä Temperance. Pöydässä oli voimakas totuuden teema. Kovinkaan selvästi näistä korteista ei kuitenkaan löytynyt yhteyttä lomaan, joten päätin nostaa kaksi korttia vielä selkeyttämään miekkojen viestiä. Aiemmin tällä viikolla @tarot_oivallusten_kortit Tarotboksissa nostettiin "vaikeille korteille selventäviä kortteja" ja tunsin että tämän päivän pöytä vaatii lisää tietoa. Nostin vielä kaksi korttia, Sauvojen ritari ja The Chariot ja niistä ajatus lähti selkeytymään. Ostaran aikaan ollaan uuden edessä. Luonto aloittaa uuden kasvun syklin ja myös meillä on mahdollista saada energiaa lisääntyvästä valosta ja kasvavasta maasta. Menneisyyden painolastia on hyvä ravistella harteillaan, kohdata rehellisesti ja päästää irti. On aika etsiä todellista minuutta. On aika aloittaa matka kohti sisäistä rauhaa ja tasapainoa. I’ve been doing the Tarot Trails Challenge by @lionharts and wanted to share Day 9 and Day 10 today. Day 9 was yesterday, and was the inspiration/push for starting this page. Day 9: Fulfillment: How can I build on my current practices to further enrich my sense of of fufillment? Ace of Wands: take the spark of creativity and turn it into something tangible. Grow something out of your practice by sharing it. Day 10: Balance: In what area of my life am I being guided to create balance? How can I best achieve this? Chaos & Eight of Wands: without some chaos, there cannot be creation. Take the chaos and channel it into something meaningful and with purpose. Don’t let so many ideas take over that you burn yourself out. I’ve been wanting to make a tarot page for a while and this challenge and my readings from it have been the push I needed to get started. The March pick a card reading from Marine @thewavesofyoursoul also inspired me to take the leap as the pile I chose was encouraging taking the chance to do something I have been afraid to do and putting off. Do you have stalker cards? Mine has been the Page of Cups lately. This damn card won’t leave me alone! 😂 When I get the Page of Cups, it tends to represent some kind of incoming intuitive or emotional discovery, like an epiphany or an “aha” moment of some sort. It can also appear to represent an influx of creative ideas and a period of enhanced creativity. There are many other things the Page of Cups can represent but for me it usually represents one of the two things. I feel like in this instance it’s telling me the former. I asked what I will discover and I got the Moon card. Pretty fitting for the emotional and intuitive Page of Cups. But in this case, it’s saying that this discovery is one that is not at all obvious because it is quite hidden. The Moon card in this deck is quite dark, but the moon glows quite brightly. In order to reach this discovery I will have to use intuitive means to reach this discovery meaning that I will have to pay attention to signs, synchronicities, and dreams. I don’t really see dreams so it’s probably going to be signs and synchronicities for me. In today’s #deckstudywithtyana I’m going to be studying the 8 of Vessels from the Terra Volatile. The vessels suite in this deck is the 5th suite which is based on alchemy. I want to mention that by no means am I an expert in alchemy. I am learning basic alchemy from this deck by using the Terra Volatile website. On the Terra Volatile website, this card is described as the stage in alchemy where you think your transformation is complete, but it is not because something went wrong. There is a sense of false superiority you feel because you think you have undergone a spiritual transformation and therefore feel like you are above others because they aren’t at your level. However, if you think this way, are you actually spiritually transformed? Of course not. That is not transformation, that is your ego talking. As for the visuals, the white birds are tied up and they are facing away from each other. They are trapped but they’re also in a disarray, not able to work together to free themselves. This means the transformation didn’t work properly. There are also people at war with each other at the bottom which represents the failed transformation affecting the outer world in a negative way. My experience with this card: This card came out to warn me about acting impulsively because of how that can create a negative ripple effect in my life. Actions have their consequences, so it’s a good idea to think things through and not rush into anything so that you don’t regret it later. I think the part about internal thoughts and battles affecting the outside world does align with how this card showed up for me. I hope you took something away from this. So we have a couple of crazy ideas for this year. While we are creating new items and trying to seduce our imagination with books and tales from another worlds, we were thing in doing: - a New Year Sale at our website, to have new space for new items. - sell our minor damaged books during a day or so. It is a shame for us to see books that we cannot sell on our shelves. Most of them have things like: a small bump in a corner, or a small difference on the varnish, or other minor imperfections. We don't want to destroy good books, so we thought that we would rather sell them at half of price that make a huge waste of material (especially in the conditions of this world). - we can consider doing the same to some of the decks we have here, with minor bumps in the boxes… - a Collector Edition of our deck, limited. Terra Volatile major arcana cards in big size (like the prints in our books). We probably want to add a few minor cards in case you want to frame some of them in your wall. We are thinking of doing a poll, that way you can help us choose the extra cards to join the Collector edition. - a pocket edition of our book, without any illustrations, but a true travel companion.
