If you’ve been following me for a while you know how much Hekate has done for me and it is my oath and privilege to honor Her name wherever I go. Like many goddesses Hekate has many faces and facets. Hekate Phosphorus is Her expression that brings forth the light within to initiate transformation and change. Hoje começa nossa mini-maratona sobre Hekate, neste primeiro post irei falar um "poquito" sobre Ela. 🔥 DIA 1 🗝️ HEKATE - A DEUSA DOS 10 MIL NOMES 🗝️ Hekate é uma deusa pré-Olimpíca, filha do titã Perses e da deusa Astéria, uma deusa que o próprio Zeus venerada. Ela encerra em si os domínios dos principais deuses do Olímpo: Os Céus (Zeus), os Mares (Poseidon) e o Submundo (Hades). Então aqui nós vemos que Ela é muito mais do que a mera descrição "Deusa/Rainha das Bruxas e Feiticeiras". No entanto, Ela não possui um mito só seu, Hekate faz aparições em outros mitos e é a partir daí que temos um background para Ela, além das descrições e achados sobre oferendas em encruzilhadas ou na entrada das cidades. Um desses mitos é o de Perséfone, onde Hekate foi quem ouviu os gritos da jovem quando fora raptida por seu tio Hades. Intrinsecamente ao mito de Perséfones, temos o mito de Deméter, sua mãe e foram as tochas de Hekate que iluminaram o caminho para que achasse a filha. De uma maneira bem sucinta, Hekate guarda, sim, os mistérios da noite, da vida e da morte. Ela possui muitos epítetos - por isso o título de "A Deusa dos 10 mil Nomes" - invocados para determinada situação e entre os mais difundidos são: “HeKate Phosphorus” (ou seja, “A que traz a luz) e “Hekate Soteria”, que é a “Salvadora". Hekate vem se mostrando cada vez mais presente e também vem aparecendo de diversas maneiras - desde visões até sonhos - algumas vezes não diretamente, mas com símbolos e representações. E falando de maneira pessoal, posso dizer que na primeira vez que Ela se "apresentou" eu nem mesmo imaginava o que poderia ser, hoje tenho mais consciência e entendo. E sou muito grata por isso! I had the honor of portraying Hekate Phosphorus at a Gods and Goddesses performance a couple of weeks ago. She is the goddess of transition, the goddess of that which is between two states or two worlds. In her Phosphorus role, Hekate is a wayshower, and leads people out of darkness and into the light, just as she led Persephone from the underworld and reunited her with the land, the day, and her mother Demeter. . . It was my intention that Hekate’s torch be a light in the shadows of the recent shooting in Dayton. Our fire whole group came together and played with light, spreading hope and healing. That’s the moon above me. 🌔 . . In this photo, I wear her black key around my neck, her moon upon my brow, snakeskin on my arms, her serpents and blades in my ears, I wear her hooded black dress and her lovely spiked crown. 💚 I meditated before this and really felt the energy of the crowd.
