Saw this in a group I'm in and felt SEEN. Quick one on tools of the trade. You do NOT need lots of (or indeed any) fancy "special" equipment to practice your Craft. My crowded altar and burgeoning cupboards might indicate otherwise, but I'm part-Magpie, love thrifting / charity shops, have access to lots of pretties via local metaphysical witchy shops like @thepurplespell (and very generous and thoughtful friends), and have been at this since my teens so of course mine is a bit "extra". And that's fine! But. If I don't have a "special" tool, I'll absolutely use the "mundane" equivalent and consecrate it for purpose. Which might include using a mop to fly with rather than a broomstick - they're very nearly doing the same job, and a Witch is practical wherever possible! Growing up poor we never had new clothes only what my parents could buy at the local second hand store. I think that's why until this day I still hit the thrift stores quite often. That's me on the far left with the yellow shirt and overalls and my little bro in the middle with the orange shirt and overalls. The lady in the middle is my pop's first blood cousin and my long lost cousins to the right, I haven't seen them in nearly 20 years. It's crazy how time flys.
