This week in The Sophia Circle Journey®️ we dove into Quan Yin’s chapter of The Sophia Code and delved deep into self-love, self-compassion, and reconnecting to the innocence of our inner child. Have you ever found yourself caught in a web of self-criticism, tangled in the branches of self-loathing and regret? I’ve been there. It’s all too easy to succumb to the harsh words of our inner punisher berating ourselves for past mistakes or missed opportunities. And these are the moments we need the most love and compassion. I've found that when I catch myself in the middle of an ugly inner dialogue, and tap into my heart, I can turn it around. I console myself as if I’m speaking to a wounded child, and shower myself with the most loving and kind words to take the sting out. When I choose compassion miracles begin to unfold. I’m curious how do you take the sting out? Through the practice of self-love and self-compassion, we not only heal the wounds of the past but also nurture the seeds of our own growth and transformation. We reconnect with the innocence that resides within us, rediscovering the boundless capacity for love that has always been our birthright. “The greatest of all suffering occurs when you refuse to have compassion for yourself as you are experiencing any kind of suffering. The Sanskrit root for compassion is karuna. My definition of karuna is to be so closely held by yourself that no separation can remain within you. This feels so good! Check out what a new student has to say about my teaching (in the image). Thanks for the love Lexy! Many of you know I made a big move from Colorado to Indiana the end of 2022. Well for most of this past year, I have just been adjusting...and healing core wounding...and adjusting more. I wasn’t teaching yoga or meditation, and boy did my heart miss it. I had been so full of doubt regarding my true “mission” or path. But stepping away from it for awhile just made me realize how much teaching truly fills my heart with joy. I feel such a deep body satisfaction. I just got back to teaching, and yesterday as I was leaving a class with my heart full of love and joy, I sent out huge waves of gratitude to the Universe for being back on the mat. I have no doubt this is part of my mission and journey. I have made a decision and commitment to be all I can be in this life, to reach my Highest Creative Potential. For me, this means I am going all in as a teacher. (I also will be offering Designing services, as this is also so fulfilling for my heart and my Inner Child!) I am asking myself what I need to do to add more value to my teaching, how can I be of service in the way my soul really wants to serve? Over the past 12 months I was certified in three different programs. Spiritual Counseling, Meditation and Sophia Circle Leadership. All of this to offer more for my students. I’m not done. I am enrolled in another meditation course, Ziva Meditation; a Womb Wealth Creation Course, a Kriya Yoga Course, and I am signing up for a Breathwork course! It’s a lot. Our SOPHIA Circle Journey today was heartfelt and deep. Water paired up with Fire offering divine insights about the divine femininity and divine masculinity. QUAN YIN offered some great pearls of wisdom which came through like a gentle reminder of who we realy are - timeless beings. Hence, patience actually is one of our natural habits. Though, we offen want to rush to solutions and find answers much too quickly. This is, however, still a very unresolved masculine energy. Some key pearls: - show thyself more vulnerable - you are human. You are vulnerable - this allows others to see and feel with you - this allows that you see your true pain - this allows healing through compassion - crying out loud - crying from the depth of the waters is the most healing you can give yourself - walk The Way Rushing is not healing! So why am I all about these Dragons? My Chinese astrology is a Dragon. I am a Red Wood Dragon. There is so much affinity for dragons inherent in my human cellular makeup. This is what I am here for. This is what you are here for. When I first read this passage, I cried. The Wounded Warrior in me, so tired of fighting, so broken-hearted from all the losses of warring through what seems like thousands of lifetimes, just cried with relief. A flood of tears to wash away the thought that fighting and war is a necessary part of life. I know - from fighting for lifetimes - that this is not the path forward. Next sentence: “…a revolution of your own divinity commanding miracles…” Doesn’t this just feel good to your heart and soul? What about that you are here to birth new paradigms? This sentence tells us that resourcing your divinity to do this is the most revolutionary act you can commit. Full body chills. So although I have the Wounded Warrior archetype, or maybe because I have it, revolution is a part of my DNA - my human DNA and my Soul’s DNA. Sophia Circle Journey® Week 11 Quan Yin One of the things I reflected upon with my group during our sharing portion of The Sophia Circle Journey® was that I don’t always feel connected to my inner child or hear what she is trying to tell me. It’s not something that we are taught to do and quite frankly when we are wrapped up in the complexity of life we don’t even think about our inner children. But the truth is our inner child runs our lives because pretty much most of our deep-seated wounds come from beliefs that we took on as young children and get triggered repeatedly as adults. How many of us reference back to feeling a certain way because our mom or dad made us feel this way. And our inner children can react when we’re not paying attention to them. Can you relate? I love Quan Yin’s chapter so much because we get to tap into the tenderness of our inner child and also reap the deep wisdom that our inner child has to share with us. My realization this week is that my inner child gets tired of me doing adult things and working hard without giving her more time for play. So yesterday after my Sophia Circle I played outside in the woods and by the creek, one of my most favorite things I used to do as a child and with Indie my cat and had lots of laughs. Now I can take that respite and carefree time into my creative endeavors with offerings. I Am the Answer to My Own Prayer ❤️🔥 I spent some time outside this morning, allowing the sunshine and air to gently bless me. As I prayed, I allowed myself to feel the emotions that were arising that needed to be acknowledged. I was feeling a whole wide array of emotions, (such is the human journey 😉 ), when a gentle nudging arose: "I am the answer to my own prayer." 🌹 I spoke this out loud, and noticed a peace started to gently flow from my heart to all parts of me. I chanted this mantra over and over for the rest of my time outside, and felt such a receptivity to the divine solutions pouring forth in that present moment. Our own hearts truly are a wellspring of the answers to all of our prayers. This is one reason I'm so passionate about my work with The Sophia Code, as I love how we're always reminded that the answers we are seeking can be found in the beauty of our humanity and divinity; that we can love all parts of ourselves, and allow our own innate sovereign divinity to bless each and every moment of our lives. Tomorrow marks the first day of my next Sophia Circle Journey® in The Landenberg Loft. Preparing my altar is one of my most favorite things to do. I went flower picking to in my garden and got lost in a sea of cosmos swaying in the sun, capturing slow mo videos of bees in flight and watching the them busily pollinating the remaining fall flowers. I was looking through my photos on my phone yesterday trying to find a specific picture. As I scrolled through looking for it I struck by all of the beauty, adventure, love and fun I have experienced in 2023 evidenced in my photos. I was overcome with immense gratitude. First for the gifts, the opportunities, the healings and the connections I’ve experienced this year. But even more so for my willingness and capacity to allow all this goodness into my life and deeply receive it. I know this is not just luck. Or simply being blessed. It is a direct result of self love and reconciliation work I have engaged in intensively the last two years. I’ve been doing personal growth, spiritual development and healing work for decades. And I was still stuck on the worthiness issue and self judgement. It was when I began to lead Sophia Circles and seriously practice the teachings of The Sophia Code that the needle began to move on these core issues and truly free me. One of my favorite parts of hosting my Sanctuary Day retreat last week was the degree of freedom, flow and trust I felt - in the creation, the facilitation and the inspiration flowing through me. It was a really powerful healing for me. Feeling free enough to trust myself, to let go and allow all that wanted to be created through me was nothing short of glorious after years of leading with a pall of self doubt, perfectionism and self consciousness hanging over me. It is a dream come true - to get to be me - and lead from what I love. And witnessing how it works so much better and with so much less effort than the old way of doing it. And that doesn’t even touch on the magic and beauty and grace that happened as we 7 gathered in Sanctuary to embody, express, create, receive, listen and bless each other as we planted seeds for what we most need in our lives. I couldn’t truly celebrate the freedom I experienced without crediting my ongoing study of the wisdom found within The Sophia Code®. I have been on a conscious spiritual and leadership journey for more of my life than not. Forty years or so at this point. And it was the wisdom of The Sophia Code® teachings which brought it all together in pragmatic ways that significantly moved the needle on the most stuck places in my life. Self Love, Trust and Acceptance topping the list. Challenge yourself to accept what you asked the universe to deliver to you. What does this mean? Often, we have desires, dreams and the universe conspires to deliver them to u. However, we have internal blockages that keep these realities from manifesting. It isn't until we have released sufficient inner blockages that the manifestation of our desires in the form that we had anticipated can take place. What are those blockages that keep our manifestations from happening? How can you find out what they may be? One way that is useful to discern why your dreams aren't coming true is to think about "what would life be like if I had what I desire"? Spending this beautiful day in our new healing space and office @thewitchandthepriestess in Swedesboro NJ I am in awe of the Magick @myaltaredhome & I are weaving together.
