#whatcouldhavebeen it's 1981 and #sheenaeaston poses in front of VEP 7717 for the '9 to 5' (also released as 'Morning Train') music video at Waterloo. In real life this was done on the #bluebellrailway and featured an ancient LSWR kettle that seemed a tad too classy for a modern yet ever so slightly misogynistic tune about a woman waiting for her lover/husband to get home from work but I do suppose that innocently promoting traditional gender ideals is not that much of a big deal anyway, considering that this was from 1981. And, as a Prince fan, I enjoyed the heck out of her collaborations with the Purple one. 📺 Of course, like I did with Vanity, I was able to meet and work with Ms. Easton on the second season of the Highlander TV show in the early 90s. We’veGotTonight. Cuando era niño tenía una novia. Para mi era la chica más linda del mundo y todas las veces que estábamos juntos era como tocar el cielo, vivir una vida feliz, muy diferente a lo que me tocaba vivir. Era yo la envidia de todos, y ella la engreída de mamá, se llevaba bien con mis hermanas, y con todas mis primas. Salíamos al cine y al teatro todos los findes, y si no era así, la pasábamos escuchando discos en su casa, divagando sobre el futuro o perdiendo el tiempo en la playa. Recuerdo bien que el mirador y el faro de Miraflores eran en ese entonces nuestros Points favoritos para largar a charlas, besos y risas interminables, momentos que yo quería… no acaben nunca. Pero la realidad para un niño como yo no estaba de mi lado. Ella por supuesto no existía, era una creación de mi imaginación, mezcla de todas las amigas de mi hermana mayor y las musas del cine y la música de entonces, chicas lindas que obviamente nunca (en ese tiempo), sabían que siquiera yo habitaba en este planeta. Siempre he sido un engreído, y también un dramático exagerado; así que, cientos y miles de veces se creaban en mi cabeza diferentes realidades mientras escuchaba a escondidas los discos y cassettes de mi hermana mayor con absoluta devoción.
