Itโs been a whileโฆ nothing forced here .. I just decided to pick up a hand drill and have a little spin. Itโs been a few months so wasnโt expecting to coax the ancestral fire.. just fancied to rub sticks together . Everything just seemed to click . First was with a host spindle and elder; then I tried an elder spindle and coaxed the fire out of hiding with both. I then stopped so I didnโt the get a blister. Hearth was clematis. Wood bone dry and seasoned which helps. Whew! YALL! My heart is still on fire from hosting last monthโs community circle ceremony. It was all I hoped for, more than I could have imagine and exactly what my soul+human needed. We played, we prayed, we gave, we received, we felt, we remembered. It was soul nourishing to show up as I AM, messy, raw, vulnerable, human, perfectly imperfect & serve, be served, Love & Be-Loved as my full spectrum Self. To Be fully Seen & honored in my humanness and divinity. In my shadows & my Light. This is what I crave for the collective. This is the prayer on my heart for humanity. May we Remember every aspect of us as Holy. May we Reclaim every part of ourSelves as, with, in & for Love. It was so lovely to cook over fire and have a fire gathering for my daughterโs 14th - these are my favourite type of gathering where I truly feel in my element and happiest! Alas the rain got very heavy so we had to come in a bit earlier but we managed to get the snores in! There are still hot embers in the fire pit (over 12 hours later) buried under the ashes - I love my fire pit design - I have built in airflow using ceramic sewer pipe so works a bit like Dakota fire pit - it works really well ! Too well sometimes even with the inflow covered up! Iโve been quiet on here for so long hardly getting any likes โฆ but does it matterโฆ nope! Those who seek do stumble across me in thier own time and way. No pics of the resulting food or of the later scene of everyone sat around the fire but we had pulled pork, burgers, sausages, squeaky cheese, peppers, courgettes all cooked over fire and then a smores buffet (make your own of course with a selection of different ingredients) my daughter had a great bday despite the torrential rain!
