🔵 KAKAY DEPARTS! Osman Kakay will be leaving the club this summer following the conclusion of his contract. Ossie has been at the club since he was seven years old and went on to make 100 appearances for the club. Kakay becomes the fourth player to announce their departure from the club this summer alongside Albert Adomah, Deon Woodman & Arkell Jude-Boyd. Kakay was keen to show his gratitude for the QPR supporters over the years, explaining: “I am a local boy so I understand how much this club means to the fans. “I want to thank them for the support they have given me through the highs and lows. Osman Kakay will be leaving the club this summer following the conclusion of his contract. Ozzy: “It’s been an amazing journey,” “I still remember the day me and my mum went to Harlington to sign my first contract with Terry (Springett, club secretary). “To be leaving the club after almost 20 years is very emotional because it has basically been my second home. “I am ever so proud and grateful to have been able to play for the club through all the age groups.” I’ve turned from a boy to a man on this journey. “I have been coached by some amazing people and have played with some great players which has definitely improved me as a player. “And as a person it has helped me in my everyday life, and I have become a father of two during my time here.” “I’ve had many highlights but probably scoring at Stoke away was the best, To score for the club meant so much.” “I am a local boy so I understand how much this club means to the fans. “I want to thank them for the support they have given me through the highs and lows. Morgan Fox capped a strong end to the season by scoring his first and ultimately QPR's winning goal at Coventry City on Saturday. He said: "I'd like to think it was a reward for all of the hard work," "It's just nice to contribute - especially to a win. "Finishing the season strongly was our objective and we were able to do that. We won three games on the spin and we want to take that sort of momentum into pre-season. "We wanted to break off in a good way." "It was tough, But my rehab went really well and I was able to get back around Christmas time - joining in with the group when we began to get on an upwards trend. "To finish the season strongly, personally, and get minutes has been pleasing." "Securing our safety against Leeds was obviously a weight off our shoulders, It was nice to see lots of smiles and a good feeling around the place. "But that didn't mean we didn't want to finish the season strongly. That was Martí's message - he wanted us to do the right things until the end." "It was obviously a long, intense season, We'll have a little break now before we get back to it. "Everyone - players, fans - are looking forward to it (next season). You only have to look at the way we finished this season, the style of play we have now and the way the squad's coming together. "Let's see what happens - it's obviously exciting but it doesn't just happen. "We'll have to work hard if we want to do well and we will be looking to hit the ground running in pre-season. #QPR
