Today’s archive exhibition from October 2013 is ‘Adrift on Life’s Tides’ by Jessie Brennan. Brennan’s exquisitely detailed pencil drawings play with the scale of people and objects and included the large ‘Medway’ River triptych commissioned for the exhibition. OUR NEWS!!!! About a month ago we had a conversation with a potential new supplier and we were invited to their offices in Chatham, Kent. What we didn’t realise, was just how truly awesome this visit was going to be. Our new supplier The Master Rope Makers showed us the amazing Victorian quarter mile Building (pictured) where the ropes have been made for many years in Shipbuilding. It is the last building of its kind and it just oozes history and has the most divine smell of hemp. The Ropery makes rope for all kinds of uses, as the use of rope has evolved into domestic use too. We absolutely love supporting unusual businesses and especially something in our own county of Kent.
