This #charcuterieboard wood was from a home in Lakeville, MA that may date to 1808. The wood from the side of the house had great milling marks but definitely isn’t square! . What is clear is that the land tracks the a large parcel for Captain William Canedy. He served in King Philip’s War in 1675-1676, with distinction in what is now Maine, resulting in the land as a thank you for his service. He was a wealthy slave owner who married a Mayflower descendant. He later divided his land among three sons, reserving an acre for a Baptist meeting house. . Il Walkabout39 é riconosciuto per la sua qualità costruttiva e le sue doti di navigazione, infatti iscritto nella categoria di progettazione “A” , la più alta. Costruito ed immatricolato nel 2016, questa barca è stata concepita e attrezzata per la navigazione transoceanica. La barca è in perfette condizioni e ammirevolmente mantenuta. Non c’è il minimo segno di umidita. Gli arredi sono in ottimo stato e perfettamente funzionante. E’ autonoma grazie ai suoi panelli fotovoltaici e il suo dissalatore che produce 24lt/ora. • Lo scafo e coperta sono costruiti interamente in sandwich con anima in PVC (80 kg/mc) e in cui le pelli sono in tessuti multiassiali di vetro impregnati con resina epossidica. • La struttura dei rinforzi ingloba la sede della chiglia e la base del puntone che scarica gli sforzi dell'albero. • Il pavimento è realizzato in sandwich ed è incollato alla struttura dei rinforzi e saldato allo scafo in modo da ottenere una serie di comparti stagni sul fondo dello scafo dalla prua fino alla chiglia. The next day I headed toward Spartanburg, SC but had to make a stop in Boiling Springs @plankownerbrewing since it was suggested by @beermegvl Plankowner Brewing Co. opened to the public in 2019. It is a nautical themed brewery with a full kitchen. This brewery is veteran owned and is involved in the sailing community and local charities. Shawn, the owner, grew up in Florida and served in the Navy before working at a brewery in FL and then deciding he wanted to open his own. Kyle, the head brewer, is also from Florida and served in the Louisiana Army National Guard It was lunch time, so I ordered a Cuban sandwich, which tends to be my go to brewery food, and Hidden Harbor IPA. This West Coast IPA is brewed with Cascade and Citra hops. The nose is hoppy, floral and grassy. On the sip I get a nice hop bitterness with a touch of pine. The grassy note is present and the bitterness tones down after a few drinks. Busted Rudder is a 6.7% abv Porter that has lots of roasty coffee on the aroma. The flavor is bitter, roasty coffee. This brew tries to go sweet on the finish, but doesn’t quite make it. I also get a smoke note at the end. They were having a special on Here For The Beer 4 packs, so you know I got one to take home. This 6.2% abv NEIPA uses only Crosby CGX Cashmere hops. The sniff has lots of lemon citrus with some melon notes. It is well balanced between malty and hoppy. I do get lemon, but also tropical fruit. It has a very low bitterness making it an easy drinker. This was a great start to the 2nd day of my beer adventure!
