Snow potions ❄️ It’s brew a potion day today so we collected some of the snow and got brewing work our fab @mini.magick potions set. We mixed some fairy dust into the snow and could hear it fizzing. Paige then added dried mint and flowers and we smelt the aromas. We then changed the colour with some coloured water and gave it a good mix! How I came up with the Little Witchling’s look…. This is where illustrating a book always starts for me. I always work out what the main character looks like first; picking up clues from the text, and maybe doing a bit of inspiration-searching on Pinterest. (I love Pinterest.) I tried out quite a few Little Witchlings, but in the end returned to the very first doodle I did. She looks witchy but she’s got her own unique style - it’s all about the hat and the coat. Let me tell you about CJ's first day at Kindergarten drop off: She was so excited to return to school today that she woke up at 0530 by herself. She saw some old friends and immediately ran to hug them and asked how their summer was. On her way to meet her teacher, she saw a boy crying with his mom, she stopped and said "don't worry, we're going to have the best day ever". She continued on to her teacher and said "Hi Ms. Peterson, I'm CJ, I'm in your class" with the most confidence and biggest smile on her face 😭 When we tell you this girl is magic...hers comes in the purest form. Her heart and energy brings joy and uplifting to every single person she comes in contact with, it's really her special power 🖤 #carinajustine #littlewitchling

My youngest's pillow Besom...she sweeps her pillow before bed to keep the nightmares away 🌝 then tucks it above her on the bottom of the top bunk mattress... She brought home this bundle of pine needles on a walk one day when they all went to the park so I wrapped it in some string 🧵 Pine is used for overcoming hardships through optimism and inner strength. How do they grow up so fast? 😭😭 3 years ago Mr Moose and I were on our way to becoming parents..a few hours later a chunky little red thing was handed to us while the doctor proclaimed "Its a girl!" 3 years.... it's hard to believe it's been 3 years but at the same time it's all gone by so fast.. We've done the newborn stage, the walking stage, the beginner toddler and now we're into the Trying 3s and her being a super cheese queen. Our little diva is a down to earth, caring soul who will grow up to do great things. She's spent the past 2 years showing a lot of talent being connected to nature as a witching while being fully immersed into our farming life. It’s one of my daughters favourite things to do. This was my inspiration for Mini Magick Natural Potion Kits! 🌿🧙🏻♀️ You could add so much to your potion kits, let your child’s imagination run wild with it! Thea added a teacup and saucer and a mini beaker to her Potion crafts today. As well as a pine cone, pine needles, and a hag stone on top of the usual Marigold, Lavender, Mint and Rose. 🥀 We got out in the garden in the fresh winter air and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. No plastic waste, safe and non toxic.
