Unstuffed shells! 🧀🫑 One of my most favorite dishes growing up was stuffed shells but my mother only made them every once and awhile. When I got older I asked her why and she said that stuffing each individual shell took so much time that it wasn’t a weekly meal she wanted to take part in. Love and Abundance Seeded Streusel Cake I love a feast, so for every Sabbat I make a special meal to celebrate, full of magical ingredients that bring the intentions we seek in that season. Edible seeds symbolize abundance and prosperity, while cinnamon and cardamom do double duty- both are abundance spices, and have properties of love and lust! Cinnamon heats up love and stokes the fires of lust, while cardamom increases attraction between lovers. This is the perfect cake to make for your partner or before a hot date! Seed Streusel: 1 C Seeds (I used a 50/50 mix of pepitas and sunflower seeds), coarsely chopped 6 Tbsp Cold Butter 1/2 C Flour 1/3 C Brown Sugar 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon 1 tsp Cardamom Cake: 3 ¾ C Flour 12 tbsp Unsalted Butter 2 ½ tsp Baking Powder 1 ⅔ C Sugar 2 Tbsp Molasses ¾ Yogurt 3 Eggs 1 ¼ C Milk 2 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 tsp Salt Filling: 1 C Brown Sugar 1 1/2 tsp Cardamom 1 tbsp Cinnamon ½ tsp nutmeg Butter a 9x13” pan, or a 10” spring form with 3” walls (I also parchment lined the bottom of my springform to make removal easy). Preheat the oven to 350 F. Make the filling first, combine all the ingredients in a small bowl, and mix together, mixing in intentions of prosperity and abundance- an abundance of health, wealth, and love. Set aside. To make the topping, combine the flour, sugar, and spices. Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter or your hands. When the butter is half mixed in, add the chopped seeds and keep combining until you have a clumpy, lumpy mixture that holds together when you squeeze it. Set aside. Beat together the sugar and butter until fluffy and light. Beat in the eggs, vanilla extract, molasses, and intentions of abundance thoroughly. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a measuring cup stir together the milk and yogurt. Add the flour in stages, alternating with the milk mixture, and mixing in between, until you have added everything and have a smooth, thick batter. 🌸Continued in Comments🌸

I made an apple pie the other day (video in process) and since it was clearly too much for just myself, I decided to share with some of my classmates. I had been feeling really down lately and even sharing my pie with others made me feel anxious and overly self-conscious. Until the praise started coming. First about how it looked, then the thanks for sharing it with them, then the praise on how good it tasted, and most importantly how it cheered up their day, picked them up after an exam. Magick isn't always the intention to manifest something specific. I just made this pie because I wanted to, because it meant happiness and love to me but I didn't really think about it. And it's what it brought to others. Not just because it's a magickal pie and they ate it. But because the whole process brought love and kindness into this world. Sometimes the simplest things are the most effective. And honestly I don't think this pie would have been as powerful if I had made them with the intention to get their praises. But it made them happy, and they shared this happiness with me, which acted as a pick me up for me too. Besides, what is the point of practicing any kind of witchcraft if you don't enjoy what you're doing or why you're doing it.
