Went to the nursery to get carnivorous plants for and with my son, and managed to also spot a #grossolavender with a flower bud! Didnโt give up on this corm which I had bought as a small tiny plant at my old place. It had died and lost all its leaves, rotted away, but i didnโt give up, waited for it to come back to life. While it finally did, it was all green for a long time. But now it is finally looking like my dream plant ๐ #alocasiaamazonicavariegata #alocasiapollyvariegata . First time getting a #lavenderheterophylla, and first tjme getting a flowering #lavenderdentata! ๐ Couldnt resist getting my old favourite Grosso as well. ๐ Decided to compare which yields better results: self watering or normal pots. Dug out the self watering pots I used at my old rooftop and repotted one Grosso, one Heterophylla, 1 dentata and 1 normal lavender into self watering. Potted up another grosso and another dentata into normal pots for comparison. Please don't ever rot away suddenly like those that came before you ๐๐๐ค๐ค๐
New additions this long weekend! Hubby offered to drive me to my favorite Bedok nursery yesterday ๐ where i got some long awaited #lavender, olive, 2 kinds of eucalyptus, thyme and #strawberry plants! We also dropped by Goodwood today for my favorite Welgro substrate where i picked up a tiny grape plant and another lavender! Itโs been more than a year since I went to a nursery to buy plants. Glad we finally did it :) this week marks my one year anniversary of moving into this new place and i guess itโs a good time to expand the garden collection! Spent a few solid hours in the side yard today repotting and also reorganized my garden shelves. Next time i will get some carnivorous plants for the kids as they really enjoyed playing with them at the nursery. I wonder if pitcher plants eat hornets? ๐ค
