Medeek Meadows Weather Report! Cool with a sunny outlook!!! 🙌🌸☀️ We had just he faintest hint of frost this morning in the dahlia beds. It turned out to be more of a very heavy dew. The forecast for this morning’s early hours was clear skies and temps down to 3 degrees Celsius for 3 hours between 3am and 6am. Eeeeek that is a recipe for frost! It was enough of a risk to make me hurry and scurry to cover dahlia plants up last night and I slept well for it! The frost blankets work well although I really dislike working with the stuff. Its messy, it gets dirty and wet, and it’s one more chore to deal with. It is however, handy to have around to “save the crop”! Our new seedlings out in the elements were my main concern because they are the tender plants most at risk. They are not grown from a tuber and if they are killed off by frost, they are done and gone. Happy to say they are alive and well this morning! Growing from tubers is so much less of a worry! If a frost kills off new growth, as long as the tuber is in good shape it will push up more new growth and recover quite nicely albeit it’ll be set back a week or two. #growbeautifuldahlias #dahliaseedlings #dahlias #canadiangrown #dahliafarm #terracebc

Super easy to use as it’s only a two part for the entire run. Way easier for me then 8+ bottles as this is ph stable as well. It's a good day for baking Peanut Butter Banana Baked Oat Cups! 🍌🥜 Whip up these wholesome treats for a satisfying snack or breakfast on-the-go. Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas, mashed 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup 2 cups rolled oats 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon Pinch of salt Instructions: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Paeonia Blushing Princess It was love at first sight when I trialed this variety in my own garden. I knew instantly I wanted to grow these as a cut flower. The soft blush colour is absolutely stunning, and the flowers are very feminine. These are sure to make some mothers very happy this weekend. This is a very exclusive peony that is not offered much as it is still a new variety (despite being registered back in 1991!) It takes a long time for a newly bred variety to make it to wholesale markets because it takes years to build up root stock. We'll have some available @ufgca tomorrow and Thursday auction.
