I randomly found a pretty park with a pond and after getting tired of just laying down with my book i decided to walk around the park. i walked past this long wooden path, it was really pretty and at the end there’s a view to the pond and a green bench to sit. Rancho Palos Verdes, California #ifaqh I found this heart hanging on a branch in Ocean Trails Reserve in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. My mom and aunt are quilters who make “hug quilts” for people going through rough times. I put the quilt in my pocket so I could take a pic and send it to my mom and aunt, then proceeded on my hike. While on the hike, I got some bad news that someone I care about had relapsed on drugs. This made me so sad, but then I thought about the quilted heart in my pocket. My first thought was that God put that heart in my path because he knew I was about to receive some difficult news. It’s like a hug quilt that my mom and aunt would make and it brought me comfort. I now have the heart hanging on my vision board. One day, I may put it back out on that trail to lift someone else’s spirits. When I first found it, with its dog print and the little bone attached, and then found the “I NEED A HOME!” tag, I was positive it was from a dog shelter wanting me to adopt a dog. Santa Barbara, CA #ifaqh I was on my way to the bank and I noticed all the missing animal flyers that are posted on the window of a pet store that’s next door. I went up to the window to see if I knew any of the animals or if there was anything I could do. As I’m looking around, I notice something colorful from the corner of my eye, I looked over and there was the cutest quilted heart taped on the window about a foot away from the flyers. I didn’t know what it meant or anything about it; I thought maybe it was up there for the lost animals. But I was curious and I looked up the link, I don’t take things that are not mine, but after looking at the page, it felt so meant to be. And I’m grateful to have crossed paths with this heart and it felt super cool to find it and to read that it stated on the website to keep the heart, that it was meant for me. Pebble Beach, California #ifaqh We were in CA on vacation and stopped to admire the Lone Cypress on our way down the 17 mile drive and the Pacific Coast highway. My husband actually saw it hanging by a paper clip from the stone wall. He was hesitant to take it but I took it without hesitation. I come from a family of quilters and I found it intriguing. I thought nothing more about it until days later when we were unpacking from our trip...when we travel we always bring home a small heart shaped rock to add to our collection but on this trip we found none but we ended up coming home with this special heart. My husband is a diver so the fish on the fabric and sea horse are so perfect. Thank you to whoever left this for us. Davis, California #ifaqh We were biking on the north Davis Greenbelt when my 5 year old son first saw a heart hanging on a tree and we noticed how beautiful it was but I told him that we shouldn’t take it, someone placed it there so everyone passing could enjoy it. It did brighten our day. Then he saw a second heart and we got closer to the dog turkey rock sculpture after Catalina and took a closer look it was so beautiful and there was a pink tag that said it needed a home. We took it and my son placed it on his bike handle and then when we got home on his prayer chair of which you see this picture. He says thank you for brightening our day. It is SO beautiful and he wants to bring it to school to share with his classroom. We always strive to share and show love every day and always, and perform actions that "fill other peoples buckets". And receiving this heart is a great reminder that when we give love to the world we receive it back.
