World Wonders is a great city building and polyomino game! We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the incredible wooden building pieces. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but they also have a great table presence and it is fun to look at everyone’s cities at the end of the game. World Wobders is easy to teach and although it may be a bit longer than we would like, it doesn’t make it any less than a great experience. World Wonders is a fantastic game and it is sure to be popular with both experienced and new gamers alike! Bezaubernde Würfel mit Dalmatiner-Flecken, kleine Holzknochen und niedliche Hundeillustrationen, alle mit eigenem Hundenamen – wer schmilzt da nicht dahin? Ok, Katzenmenschen vielleicht nicht! Spots ist Push your Luck vom Feinsten! Ziel ist es als Erster sechs seiner Hunde zum Spielen zu schicken. Und so geht’s: alle Spieler bekommen zu Beginn zwei graue Hundekarten mit freien Würfelfeldern sowie einem Gartenplättchen. Die Felder gilt es mit passenden Würfeln zu füllen, danach darf man eine gefüllte Karte auf die blaue Seite drehen und quasi werten (Wauzi zum Spielen schicken), sowie die abgelegten Karten durch neue vom Nachziehstapel ersetzen. Die Würfel liegen alle in einer gemeinsamen Auslage, sowie 6 verschiedene Aktionskarten. Abwechselnd darf man sich eine aktive Aktion aussuchen. Nach Nutzung wird die Aktion inaktiv, bis die Auslage wieder aufgefrischt wird. So kann man mit den verschiedensten Wurfkombinationen versuchen seine Hundekarten zu füllen. Der Twist am Spiel: in den allermeisten Fällen darf nur einmal gewürfelt werden. Hat man keine freien oder passenden Würfelfelder zum Ablegen dieses Wurfes, muss man überzählige Würfel im Garten vergraben. Sind im Garten 7 oder mehr Würfelaugen „vergraben“ verliert man alle bisherigen platzierten Würfel und muss wieder von vorne anfangen. Da kann man sich ganz schön ärgern wenn das Würfelglück nicht so recht mitspielen will. Ich mag Push your Luck, ich mag Hunde, ich mag Würfel und ich mag auch einen kleinen Ärgerfaktor. Wenn das Spiel dann auch noch so niedlich und ehemanntauglich ist, dann darf es natürlich im Regal bleiben! Und es muss nie Gassi gehen! Also pflegeleicht! I recently played Ethnos from @cmongames (which I loved) and as I was searching for a copy I quickly discovered Archeos Society from @spacecowboysus . This is a recent reskin of Ethnos from the same designer (and being slightly easier to acquire), so I grabbed a copy. I’m one play in, and while I see the bones of the original game, this feels quite a bit different. It feels a bit more complex in a way I’m truly not sure if it benefits or detracts from the experience (or maybe the original feels more streamlined). The iconography definitely took some getting used to, but the scoring is much friendlier and it seem to take some of the grit away from the Ethnos version. In this version, they’ve substituted the area control scoring and made the game more of a race. Again, a choice I’m not sure I love. The adventurer theming is certainly more family friendly and that’s completely a preference issue. All-in-all, it feels much more contemporary, but lacks the timeless vibe of the original. Components certainly aren’t near up to the original. If I hadn’t played Ethnos recently, I’d probably be over the moon about the games cool spin on set collecting and solid artwork. Yesterday I finally managed to get in my first and second game of Gaslands @ospreygames and man is this a hell of a lot of fun. Our first Death race saw victory by the way of the Purple Terror, who coming from and initial shakey start having to swerve round a fire truck and a spin out, managed to claw its way back. The opposing F1 car, who got off to a much better start literally slid, just barely over the line to take second place. We don’t discuss what happened to the other two cars on my team. One important lesson I learned on this race was…don’t assume anything! especially when it comes to weapons facing! We tried out the scavenger scenario next. This saw both teams trying to collect and use loot crates with the winner being the one with the majority. This was still great fun, but over too quickly. I think with more players/teams this would be a better fought battle. We played a pretty casual set up in terms of teams and weapons etc but next time we’ll probably build teams properly. This may be a new money out for me to fall down hobby wise. Not that you need to with this game. You only really need the core rule book and some toy cars (you can use them as they are) and you’re essentially good to go. It I’m definitely gonna grab some more and see how I can kit them out. Il piano di Kora è semplice, sfruttando le loro abilità magiche, dovranno ingannare la creatura facendole credere che stiano fuggendo ma in realtà, una volta uscita in campo aperto, essa cadrà vittima dei loro attacchi simultanei. La creatura si avvicina inesorabile..ma la fortuna assiste i giovani ed essa, uno strano umanoide con delle grosse zanne poste ai lati della bocca, uscendo allo scoperto, cade nel tranello permettendo così ai giovani di aggredirla. Kora, lesta nei movimenti, riesce ad afferrare il bastone della creatura e a disarmarla mentre gli altri, aggredendola utilizzando ogni loro capacità, la mettono in seria difficoltà. La creatura, uno strano umanoide in grado di padroneggiare la magia elementale, creando uno strano fantoccio in grado di attaccare lanciando fiammate improvvise accanto a se e utilizzando fulmini per colpire a breve distanza, da del filo da torcere ai giovani che però riescono alla fine a sopraffarla. Kora, frugando tra i suoi averi, scopre che il bastone che ha ottenuto strappandolo dalle mani dell'essere ha una capacità magica che ella non riesce ad identificare e, decidendo di tenere con se il bastone, ne percepisce la potenza brandendolo. Mison, riuscendo a tergiversare e ad attirare totalmente la sua attenzione, da modo a Kora e Becky di controllare l'anfratto scoprendo uno strano piedistallo con un incavo sufficientemente grande per ospitare la gemma trovata da Becky che però non interagisce con esso e un curioso simbolo disegnato a terra condito da ciò che resta di un animale mezzo divorato. Mentre le 2 stanno controllando ed armeggiando con il piedistallo e con la loro pietra senza successo, l'elfo le scopre ma, grazie alla parlantina sciolta di Becky, i giovani riescono a rabbuonirlo e, fermandosi con lui a parlare, scoprono informazioni riguardanti Lord Urden e, recuperando le forze, sono pronti a raggiungere questo fantomatico Lord..ma, tra lo scompiglio generale, Mison, avendo capito le oscure trame dell'elfo che voleva condurli ad una trappola, lo attacca alle spalle dando vita ad uno scontro dove il druido, trasformandosi in una fiera, riesce a ferirlo a morte. Mison viene però salvato in extremis da Becky e anche grazie alla sua magia, riesce a rimettersi in piedi e a lottare nuovamente. La lotta infuria ma alla fine i giovani riescono a sconfiggere l'elfo e i giovani, tra i suoi averi, trovano una pietra simile a quella rinvenuta da Becky confermando che ciò sono gli oggetti richiesti dall'elfo. Incuriositi dalle parole del druido, si dirigono nella direzione che esso stava intraprendendo arrivando fino alla stanza dove Lord Urden sta dimorando assieme ad uno strano individuo dai lineamenti confusi e celati da un mantello e proprio mentre i giovani si stanno avviando verso di lui, dall'alto del suo trono posto in un luogo rialzato, Lord Urden da l'ordine alla creatura di attaccare con una semplice frase. I giovani, studiando la formazione rocciosa con l'incantesimo Individuazione del magico, notano che al suo interno sembra esserci una forza identica a quella presente nell'oggetto che Becky ha rinvenuto, presumibilmente ciò che l'elfo ha chiesto loro di recuperare ma, iniziando ad armeggiare con essa speranzosi di recuperare il premio con poco sforzo..la animano. Esso, un elementale di roccia, attaccando i giovani, li costringe alla fuga inoltrandosi nella caverna e sparpagliandosi. Kora, allontanandosi dal gruppo mentre gli altri provano a fronteggiare la creatura che sembra invulnerabile continuando ad indietreggiare, raggiunto l'elfo posto all'entrata del labirinto, scopre che le creature qui presenti attaccano colui o coloro che le minacciano o aggrediscono e che alcune di esse, una volta che l'aggressore si allontana a sufficienza, tornano a riposare ignorando altre possibili minacce essendo "programmate" per difendere determinate cose o zone. Kora, scoperte queste cose, si avvia incontrando gli altri nel luogo sicuro dove avevano riposato e condividendo con loro tali informazioni propone di continuare ad esplorare le gallerie e di lasciare a dopo quella creatura consci che prima o poi dovranno sfidarla e trovare un modo per sconfiggerla. Poco distante dalla posizione dove avevano risvegliato l'elementale che ora riposa placido e innocuo essendo tornato sornione, c'è un anfratto che i giovani non hanno ancora esplorato. [Fazit] Höher, schöner, weiter! Es geht hoch hinaus beim Wettstreit um die Türme 🏰 Beim Kartenspiel „5 Towers“ geht es darum per Kartenauswahl geschickt die höchsten Türme zu bauen 😉 Es gibt 5 farblich (und thematisch: Candyturm 🍬 Gruselturm 👻 Baumturm 🌳 Metallturm ⚙️ Sandturm 🏖️) unterschiedliche Türme. Jeden davon dürft Ihr in Eurer Auslage nur einmal haben. Dabei müssen die Karten von und groß bis oben klein gelegt werden 0️⃣-1️⃣5️⃣ Zahlen dürfen übersprungen werden, die absteigende Reihenfolge muss aber eingehalten werden 🔝 Die 8️⃣ und 9️⃣ haben eine Sonderfunktion, wodurch ihr die diese etwas flexibler außerhalb der Reihenfolge einsetzen könnt. Wenn eine Turmspitze gesetzt wurde, gilt der Turm als komplett abgeschlossen und es dürfen keine weiteren Karten hinzugefügt werden 🗼 Der Clou ist, wie Ihr an die Karten kommt. In der Mitte werden 5 Karten platziert und angeboten. Der Spieler, welcher an der Reihe ist, gibt an wieviele er davon anbauen würde 0️⃣-5️⃣ Nun kann jeder reihum das Gebot erhöht. Der Spieler mit dem höchsten Gebot erhält den Zuschlag und wählt dementsprechend die Anzahl aus den ausliegenden Karten ✌️Er muss diese aber auch anbauen können. Er hat aber auch noch die Möglichkeit den obersten Teil zuvor abzureißen und dadurch neu zu legen. Dies führt aber zu Minuspunkten 😱 Das Spiel endet, wenn Ihr zweimal den Stapel durchgespielt habt. Am Ende zählt jede Etage in Deinem Turm 1 Punkt. Wenn ein Turm mit einer Turmspitze abgeschlossen wurde, zählt jede Karte doppelt. Zudem werden die einzelnen Punkte des eigenen höchsten Turms (Hauptturm) nochmal gewertet.
