Recently, I was in Glasgow to see my little brother for his 21st birthday. While I was there, I decided to check out the awesome @staticgamesuk where I picked up a pre-owned copy of Marvel United by @cmongames for only £20! The box stated that the Iron Man mini was snapped at the base, but to my delight, the whole game was sleeved as well, and Iron Man only took minutes to repair with glue. 🐛 Sand 🐛 Ya les mostramos qué trae la caja, cómo preparar una partida y como jugarlo. El día de hoy les vamos a contar qué nos parece el juego. Sand es un juego con mecánica de Pick up and deliver para 1 a 4 jugadores, con partidas de 120 minutos de duración, un peso de 3,36/5 y posicionado (por ahora) en el puesto 11478 de la BGG. Queremos comenzar destacando el hermoso arte y la excelente calidad de los componentes. La relación precio/calidad es muy buena, ya que no es un juego excesivamente caro, y ofrece componentes y una experiencia de juego que hace que valga cada centavo. Yendo al juego en sí, lo primero que tenemos que decir es que hace falta jugarlo varias veces, no es un juego para quedarse con la impresión de la primera partida. Para nosotros, la primera partida es para aprenderlo, la segunda para entenderlo y a partir de la tercera, se puede formar una opinión. Es un juego muy estratégico que ofrece una diversidad de formas de obtener puntos, y cada una de ellas se puede aprovechar. Las mecánicas están bien implementadas e integradas con la temática. Nosotros lo jugamos de a dos y quizás no sea el mejor número, porque ofrece la posibilidad de que haya interacción entre jugadores, y de a dos es muy fácil evitarlo. El punto más débil, para nosotros, es el factor de asimetría. Las habilidades de los personajes no nos parecen balanceadas, y sentimos que puede pasar que un jugador resulte perjudicado por tener un personaje que sea más difícil de llevar. No queremos decir que haya personajes “malos”, sino que algunos requieren de una estrategia más compleja, mientras que otros resultan beneficiosos casi sin tener que hacer nada. En resumen, nos parece un excelente juego, y nos llena de orgullo saber que salió de mentes argentinas. Por aca les dejo mis primeras impresiones de la Expa Lluvia Torrencial para Heat Pedal To the Metal. Lo primero y mas destacable de esta expansión son las nuevas pistas: Mexico y Japón, sobre esto debo decir que este juego puede tener igual o mas expansiones que Downforce. Lo segundos que agrega son componentes naranja para sumar un nuevo jugador y en la cuna queda espacio para otro jugador mas, esto quiere decir que viene otra expa en camino. Y por ultimo el corazón del juego que son las cartas de mejora, aca no solo se suman nuevas e interesantes cartas al draft de mejora sino que ademas se incorpora una nueva mecánica de enfriamiento de motor que genera combos muy interesantes. Heat ya era un excelente juego para grupos grandes pero esta expa eleva mucho mas la experiencia de juego, super recomendada!

Ancient Knowledge was one of the coolest releases of last year. This is an engine-building game from @iellogames where a big focus lies on trying to collect the most knowledge from your historic Monuments before they are lost in time. It's a great game that can be a bit long at 4 players. Luckily, there's an official team variant that's actually awesome at that player count. I tried this variant for the first time recently and was impressed how much more quickly the game flowed and the "pass a card to your teammate" rule also works wonders as it helps you fuel your engine even more! Yesterday we’ve tested Dune War for Arrakis until 5am🫠 This is basically War of the Ring but simplier - in the main mode you are playing 1 vs 1 with Atreides using different tricks and desert knowledge to fullfil their secret goal and Harkonnens trying to capture Seitches and sell some spice to gather 10 vicotry points. well, playing as a Harkonnen turned out to be a real struggle to me. Have you played Praga Caput Regni? 🏰 Praga Caput Regni by @riograndegames is a euro game where you build up medieval Prague! In the game, you will manage your gold and stone resources by managing your mines/quarries, in order to build buildings, walls, and the King’s Road, while also upgrading your various actions. You do this by choosing an action tile on a wheel, paying or gaining rewards depending on the space it’s on, and taking 1 of the 2 actions depicted on the tile. The tile will then be placed at the start of the wheel, which is 1 of the more expensive spaces. Throughout the game, you’ll gain rewards such as additional resources, as well as allowing you to construct the Hunger Wall and the Cathedral, and going up the university track. These spaces provide additional victory points as well as end game scoring. While the game is pretty simple (take a tile to take 1 of 6 actions), how the actions interact and how you can use them to provide more bonuses is key to succeeding. Eggs are interestingly used on the Bridge as a thematic nod to how they were used in the mortar and provide additional rewards when spent. And if you manage to get windows, they can help you in the construction of the Hunger Wall/Cathedral and the rare gold window will allow you to take an additional action which are really useful as the action economy is quite tight We really enjoyed how the buildings and walls have to be strategically placed to gain you the most reward and the town where the buildings are built provide a nice bit of interaction between players! We also appreciate the timer mechanism of having a cube drop into a hole in the board to signify the round ending, and when a certain number of rounds end, you’ll use level 2 upgrades, walls, and buildings, increasing their rewards for the end of the game If you enjoy euro games, we’re sure that you’ll have a great time with Praga Caput Regni too! Die Herren unter den Bewohnern hatten dieses Mal „sturmfreie Bude“ in alleiniger Runde, bei Kartenspielen und anderen Brettspielen. Alle waren sehr konzentriert, um zu gewinnen. Trzech z nich to liderzy, których wysyłamy na pola akcji. Pozostali to robotnicy - rozdzielając ich pomiędzy strefami decydujemy jak mocne będą akcje z danego obszaru. Jeden ze szczurów zostaje naszym odkrywcą i eksploruje dom w poszukiwaniu mysich gości i nowych misji do wykonania. Gdzieś na końcu w najbardziej odległym pomieszczeniu piwnicy czeka też upragniony ser. 🛠️ Zebrane zasoby można wykorzystać na przygotowanie nowych pomieszczeń i łóżek w naszej norce, dzięki czemu odblokujemy kolejnych robotników. Drewno i metal wydajemy też na realizację projektów usprawniających naszą pracę i dających umiejętności, które będą wymagane do wypełnienia misji. 🤔 Rozgrywka wymaga trochę skupienia, by wyłapać wszystkie zależności i wykonać satysfakcjonujący ruch. Mieliśmy też partie, gdy jak komuś nie szło od początku, to już nie umiał się odbić. Może to przez losowość kart wynalazków, które nie zawsze układają się pod naszą strategię i trzeba kombinować w inną stronę. Na szczęście gra nie jest aż tak długa i ciężka, więc nawet te nieudane partie nie pozostawiają traumy i... fobii przed szczurami 😉 ☀️ Jest to jednak ta gra, do której z chęcią wracamy. Euro, które spełnia nasze oczekiwania. Przyjemnie się na nią patrzy, miło gra. Mamy jakiś cel w swym szczurzym życiu, a nie tylko przekształcenie jednych kostek w inne 😉 Spróbujcie sami! 🙂 PS. Beim letzten Spieleabend kamen Forests of Pangaia und Trio auf den Tisch 🌱🥑 Eigentlich wollte Patrick Forests of Pangaia verkaufen und das erst nach einem Mal spielen 🫣 Deswegen haben wir es nochmal ausgepackt mit Freunden die auch auf Naturthemen stehen und es hat mir echt viel Spaß gemacht 😍 Patrick leider wieder nicht so...aber es bleibt!!! Ich mag wie sich die Bäume anfühlen und zu viert kann man noch viel mehr die anderen Bäume mit nutzen oder auch etwas kompetitiv spielen. Das Board ist dabei ständig im Wandel von Aufbau und Zerfall. Dabei werden verschiedene Rituale durchgeführt, um möglichst viel Lebensenergie (=Siegpunkte) zu erlangen 🌳 Und Trio war einfach wieder ein super Abschluss. #RememberOurTrip kam in den letzten Monaten öfters mal auf den Tisch. Ein kleines süßes Puzzle Spiel wo wir uns alle emgemeinsam versuchen uns zu erinnern welche Sehenswürdigkeiten wo waren wo der eine oder andere Park ist. In welchen Hotel man untergekommen ist etc. Wer zuerst die jeweiligen Sachen vollständig hat, legt auch den Standort fest. Und so bastelt man vor sich hin, jedoch mit einer guten Portion Interaktion. Die Mrinungen waren bisher vielfältig. Von gut bis schlecht ist alles dabei. Daher probiert es ruhig aus wenn ihr die Möglichkeit habt. Ich persönlich mag es, was natürlich auch daran liegt das ich selber schonmal in Tokio war. ;D

@dlpgames von Rainer Stock-im-Arsch-Hausen geb ich ja immer nur ungerne eine Bühne aufgrund seiner, geschäftlichen, steinzeitlichen Ansichtsweisen. Aber wir trenne ja zwischen Person und Produkt so gut es geht. Außerdem ist es aktuell eh OOP. Lange nicht mehr gezockt, Regeln waren trotzdem noch recht frisch im Kopf und konnte schnell losgehen. Optisch sieht Yokohama aus wie Rainers Hemden, mechanisch machte es auch damals schon keine Neuerfindungen und klaute sich bei Istanbul alles zusammen. Türkei gegen Japaner quasi. (Pressemitteilung der SAZ ist laut internen SAZ Informationen ausgeblieben... im eigenen, kreisrunden Stammbaum wird nicht denunziert... is n moralisches Ding.) Anfang 19tes Jahrhundert hängen wir in Japan ab, erforschen Technologien, sammeln Ressourcen, bauen Geschäfte und erfüllen Aufträge. Das wars. Klingt unspektakulär und bleibt es auch.
