Project Reveal! For the last month, I have been working on one of the biggest, creative projects I have ever done. I created 61 individualized and personal pieces of art for every staff member at my daughters' elementary school. Each staff member chose a word at the beginning of 2024 that meant something to them. Whether is was a goal, a meditation, or a reminder. I took those words and created special artwork as a gift of gratitude for all their hard work this school year. I tried to personalize each one for that particular individual, whether through style, colors, or favorite things. It has been a true labor of love, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Everyone at the school works so hard to make it a wonderful place for my kiddos. Thanks to all the educators and support staff! -Euchambersia Variants- Smoghide Euchambersia live in Murkwood Marsh, where they take advantage of the mudflats to hunt animals stuck in the muck. Their light build and small size prevents them from getting stuck themselves, and keeps larger predators from stealing their meals. Redspots Euchambersia are any predators bane in the Veridian Vale. They specialise in stealing carcasses from other predators, using their potent venom as a deterrent to keep others away, Redspots venom is particularly painful, likely to help force the regions largest predators into giving up their hard earned food for fear of a bite. Rustbacks are larger than average, and actually omnivorous with a diet of meat, mushrooms, fruits, and Invertebrates. They are found only in the volcanic areas of the Swamps of Origin, though why they'd evolve to thrive in such a dangerous place is unknown. Swamprot Euchambersias are scavengers found only in the Tidal Labyrinth. They feed mostly on washed up carcasses, and a diet of rotting seafood gives them a pungent odor. The gut wrenching smell of this variant deter most larger predators, but also acts as an early warning for hunters looking to avoid an ambush. The Birch Tavern bar: a commission to make a bar for my local community center, which runs a pop-up pub. I employed old school mortice and tenon joints which I learnt originally in a boat workshop in Glasgow. I wanted to include a laser etched drawing of the building on the front, which turned into a tryptch in the end. ~Volti Nell'Ombra~ 20X20 Progetto Scolastico 🤍 La trilogia che propongo racconta un episodio di paralisi notturna, vissuto da una ragazza, in piena notte, nel proprio letto. 1° Fase iniziale, la ragazza inizia a sentire un forte sibilo e un ronzio che diventa sempre più forte. Inizia a percepire una strana presenza sopra di lei e apre gli occhi spaventata. 2° La ragazza inizia a non avere più il controllo del suo corpo, vorrebbe urlare ma la parola rimane solo un pensiero, non riesce a uscire. Sente che si dimena ma è come se a farlo fosse solo la sua anima che viene bloccata dal corpo fisico. Nel frattempo le presenze intorno a lei aumentano. 3° Fase finale, la ragazza è completamente prigioniera nel suo letto, i volti distorti e spaventosi la tormentano mentre lei sta cercando di raccogliere tutte le forze per sbloccarsi e riprendere possesso del proprio corpo. They deploy satellite bases in the orbit of planets in need of help which report to the central HQ. Having hundreds of bases and thousands of members across the galaxy, The Star Corps. power and reputation strike fear in the hearts of any evildoer. However, this reputation also extends to the ones they try to protect. Many view The Star Corps. just protectors while just as many view them as corrupt and abuse their power and influence. Now that they’ve brought earth under their protection, they often butt heads with a certain Omnitrix wearing vigilante and his friends.” - Never fear, The Star Corps. are here! The Star Corps. is my AU’s version of The Plumbers. However, I wanted them to be a little more morally grey than the show’s version. Think more like the Navy from One Piece mixed with a bit of the Green Lanterns. The 3 characters I drew are mostly just supposed to be to represent the diversity of species within their ranks so I mainly focused on making them look cool rather than going in depth on their characters and personalities. That being said, if you guys like these characters and want to see more, I’d definitely be down to flesh them out more in the future! 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴 is a publication around Congolese artist Sammy Baloji's first solo exhibition in both Denmark and Sweden, curated by Matteo Lucchetti (@lucchettimatteo). The exhibition, presented in 2020, focused on the unearthing of ‘other’ tales – overlooked, suppressed, forgotten – about the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Through Baloji's investigative methodology (photography, installation, film-making and sculptural forms) 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴 repurposed archival materials and museum narratives to challenge the current international exploitation of human and mineral resources in the DRC, his country of origin. The publication highlights among others an installation from the exhibition 𝘈 𝘉𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘛𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 commissioned by Framer Framed in 2018. Sammy Baloji was also a participating artist in our 2023 exhibition 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘴 by collective On-Trade-Off, tracing the extraction of coltan and lithium – primary substances for the production of batteries and fundamental to the development of so-called 'green energy' in the DRC. A seguito della recente esperienza a Palermo con la mostra "𝑳𝒂 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒂̀ 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒛𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒆" a cura di @serena.ribaudo, @sasha.vinci amplia la serie “𝑵𝑶𝑵 𝑺𝑰 𝑫𝑰𝑺𝑬𝑮𝑵𝑨 𝑰𝑳 𝑪𝑰𝑬𝑳𝑶” attraverso un nuovo progetto volto ad omaggiare la Svizzera, presentato in occasione della IX edizione della Triennale svizzera di scultura @badragartz 🇨🇭 L’opera si chiama 𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑴𝑶𝑵𝑰𝑨 𝑴𝑼𝑵𝑫𝑰 / 𝑰𝒍 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒊 𝑩𝒂𝒅 𝑹𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒛, una grande scultura monumentale site-specific che presenta un’apertura a lato dove è possibile entrare per osservare lo skyline del villaggio di Bad Ragaz, inciso a laser sulla volta dell’opera e reso visibile dalla luce solare ✨ Uno spazio simbolico, un osservatorio in dialogo con l’esistente, una scultura di materia e di luce in grado di coinvolgere i sensi e creare un’atmosfera immaginifica per stimolare delle riflessioni sulla complessità della vita. There was no way I was keeping this to myself. Referencing her Kashmiri ancestry, Amya designed and created these inspired items for her CAPE Art projects with a QR code on all the packaging that goes to her Kashmii website. The prep work journals are pieces of art in themselves. Everything down to the packaging is exquisite and luxurious. 1. Silk Lengha with Kashmiri patterned embroidery and border. (It was a treat to model it for her journal) 2. Cuff bracelet with hand embossed Kashmiri patterns. 3. Hand crafted brooch of the Himalayan lynx paired with a cotton and leather slouch bag. A stencil of the lynx is used as the logo for all branding. Really proud of her effort, so excited about her talent and kind of in awe of the way she goes about it so unassuming and chill. Special thanks to @houseofzari for the technical advice and support in making the lengha, @marajandsonsjewellers for the studio training and @artyclarkie for her unwavering and superlative guidance over the last 4 years.
