When i saw the crossed sabers on this Panamanian set, I thought it was for an APC/tank soldier. The seller didn't take good pictures of the pants, but I decided to take a chance. When the set finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised! The pants are jodhpurs!!! In other words, the pants are horse riding pants. There was a small unit in the Panama Defense Forces called the Escuadron de Caballeria "Gen. Jose Antonio Ramon Cantera - 1920". They were a mounted unit that boasted 180 soldiers and 48 horses. They were mainly a unit that participated in ceremonies and parades. They were based at Panama La Viejo. This set is tiny. I tried putting it on my mannequin, but jacket wouldn't button. Pants have also been professionally tailored in to an even smaller size. The size reminds me of a jockey you see in the horse races. Pants are reinforced in the crotch area and in the inner thigh regions as well.
