Color: gold/amber Age:1-2 years Distillery:Casa BACARDÍ/ Puerto Rico Base:molasses from sugarcane Cask:oak barrel Additives: none that I was able to find Nose: very citrusy, vanilla, slight woods, and a fair amount of ginger Taste: very slight oak, vanilla, cinnamon, and a mild taste of brown sugar Finish: heavy amounts of spice, in my opinion a very cinnamon flavored spice, small amount of citrus with a decent amount of burn, not quite enough burn to call it ethanol but pretty close. Overall: I bought a liter of this for $20 and for $20. I can’t find any complaints however I think it is a $20 bottle of rum if I were to pay over that I would be a little upset for $20. How’s everyone’s Sunday guys 🌞 Enjoying this sun wouldn’t have been complete without a likke bit of Wray & Nephews Overproof white rum. @wrayandnephewuk The heart of Jamaica….this molasses based & combined blend of pot and column still distillates is sharp & full of funk. On the nose: was zestful, with hints of lime & overripe bananas, could also pick up raspberry & apple. The flavour profile delivered a mixture Banana, grapefruit, pears, coconut & pineapple, with a long tropical finish. I slowly sipped as this beautiful 63% ABV overproof rum should be respected & anyone drinking I recommend being responsible. 🇯🇲- Mixture of choice was some Levi roots Caribbean crush…and it certainly paired well…this was so refreshing with lots ice & limes.
