Woke up at 2:45am thinking about Motherโs Day. If my granny would be ok at our lunch. My granny is 82 and has dementia. Some days itโs tough for her. I couldnโt fall back to sleep. Decided to get up and start my workout. I try real hard to keep it together. I really had to fight to stay in the โworkoutโ mindset. I wanted to quit, I wanted puke, I wanted this hour to end. When you see my crazy workouts. You might thinks itโs excessive. Just know that it keeps me sane and sleeping like a rock. I am an over thinker. When stress is high my sleep is low. I wear myself down so I can pass out. I always say this is more than just muscles. Itโs my sanity. I shall get back to my 3 workouts a day Bcuz my goodness I need them. Whatever you are dealing with know there are others in the same fight. Happy Friday Jr ๐ป. Last day of work outs for the week. My body is sooooo sore from Tuesday and Wednesday workouts. I canโt sit as my butt and hamstrings hurt so bad. My shoulders and chest hurt ๐ญ. I feel like itโs day 1 of training. At my old age I probably need to rest on Wednesdays. Anyhow no amount of pre helped this am. I didnโt eat right or enough yesterday to fuel this leg day. I slept 6 hrs and woke up at 3am. Hump day pump day. 3rd day in a row I did all of my workouts. Woke up feeling slim but buff lol. I feel good so we shall continue. Adding another day to my bazillion days of fitness. My sanity is important so I make sure to get all my workouts in. Remember Your health should be priority as you age you need to add back minutes to your life. Happy Tuesday folks. Went to gym late w my manz. I slept from 7:30pm til 6am this body needed sleep. Remember listen to your body. Itโs ok to rest. We did leg stuff. Suns out so buns out I decided to wear my shorts & boy do I need to tan. Anyhow being able to move this body is a blessing. 13 days til I turn 46 yrs old. Everyday counts so I will show up to the gym. Was able to lift 275 lb hip thrust w 20 sec pause at the end. 60 mins of workout just added back minutes to my life. Happy Thursday folks. Completed this lunch time workout. I love to workout it is my therapy. I have a stressful job soooooo I NEED THIS TIME. Today i did quads stuff, abs, assult bike. I have been training to squat my manz weight. You never know when Iโll need to use this strength. Aunt Flo is here but she is not going to ruin me. I did 205 for 2 reps. This is the 2nd or 3 rd week. Soon Iโll be able to do more reps and then move up. Doing abs has really help w my back pain. Its gotten strong and so now it doesnโt hurt. 18 days til this old body turns 46. I now have to take precautions. Sweet + spicy chicken fajitas - a @maeve_madden recipe. These are unreal. Quick and easy to make. 500g of chicken - cut into strips 1 red + green pepper, sliced (I didn't have yellow, but they are my fave) 1 onion (I used a potato peeler to slice - game changer. Hate cutting onions) For the chicken seasoning : 1 tbsp oil 1 tbsp hot sauce 2 tbsp garlic (I used the squeezey garlic) 1 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp coriander 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp cumin Pinch of salt 30g of honey Pop everything evenly onto a baking tray (drizzle the veg with some oil before adding the chicken on top) Pop into a preheated oven at 180ยฐ for 20 mins. *While this was cooking, I popped on a @queensdontquit workout with Beth (my shoulders are crying) Sprinkle with cheese and pop back into the oven for a further 10 mins. *I finished my workout while the cheese melted* I heated my tortillas on the pan and added some natural yoghurt on top to compliment the spicy flavours. Happy April first mi gente. Completed back n biceps w cardio. Worked up to 195 lb deadlift for 8. Still canโt do body weight pull ups but I am working on them. Anyhow another day to be great. Saturday I was caught in the rain and my feet were all wet. Guess what happen next? Yep woke up Sunday w bad sore throat and body ache. I even went to be at 6pm. Now I am 80% better w a small cold. Happy Friday folks. Many reasons to be grateful. Blessed to be able to move this body. If you donโt like BANDA KEEP SCROLLING. Today I decided to do a HITT to stretch and warm up the body. Trust that worked bcuz while doing my lifts nothing was cracking. I was able to completed bb squats at 205 pounds. I can officially squat my manz. They felt heavy but good. I did reverse lunges at 115lbs. We moving up folks. Everything I did today felt good. I allowed myself to rest after each lift. Feeling like baddie today.
