God is our Potter In the Bible, God is often metaphorically depicted as a potter, shaping and molding the lives of His people with care and intentionality. Just as a potter skillfully molds clay on a wheel, God crafts our character, shaping us according to His divine purpose. This imagery is vividly portrayed in passages like Isaiah 64:8, where it says, "Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand." As the potter, God understands our unique strengths, weaknesses, and potential. He works patiently and persistently, shaping us into vessels of honor and purpose. Sometimes this process involves gentle refinement, while other times it requires the breaking and reshaping of hardened areas within us. Regardless of the method, God's ultimate goal is to fashion us into reflections of His love, grace, and truth. Trusting in God's sovereignty as the potter allows us to surrender to His transformative work in our lives. It reminds us that He is intimately involved in every aspect of our being, guiding us toward spiritual maturity and alignment with His will. Just as the potter brings beauty out of formless clay, God shapes our character to reveal His glory and fulfill His divine plan.
Student Feature!! Aidan Doorn! Aidan has grown in serving others above himself and laying down his fleshly desires. He is pushing himself to talk to new people and open up, as well as been one of the first to ask if he can lend a hand or help in any way. He has become more flexible with things going wrong and not going his way and he has made mistakes, been forgiven, but then turned around and had to forgive others for their mistakes. He has also grown in his love of Christ and his personal relationship with Him. It has been great serving alongside him. We are excited that Aidan is joining us for another year along with Caleb. Aidan will be learning leadership & teaching skills, he will get to do more discipleship and walk alongside the next year’s students, and he will be learning more in one trade. I just spoke to the HomeChoice person about getting back out on my own, permanently!!!! Basically I’ll have all the help I need but it’ll be in my own place and when it’s time for surgery again I can get rehab at home!!!! Text(s): John 1:35, Acts 9:25 The word “disciple” can be used in a descriptive sense of anyone who is a follower of another in a teacher-student relationship In John’s gospel, Jesus gave three (3) perspective characteristics of a disciple: 1. Abiding in God’s word (John 8:31-32): The result of abiding in Christ’s word is freedom i.e. spiritual freedom from the bondage of sin. 2. Bearing Fruits (John 15:4-8): Fruit-bearing is the proof of discipleship because a believer has no fruitfulness apart from his union and fellowship with Christ. In fact, a branch out of contact with the vine is useless. 3. Loving one another (1 John 3:23): This characteristic of love is the distinguishing mark to the world that one is a disciple of Christ. Too often, we can think of prayer as something that people only occasionally need. And when they do need it, we assume they’ll let us know. But no one is beyond the need for prayer, even on their best days. And even when prayer is needed, people can be reluctant to share their prayer requests with us, thinking that we’re too busy or that they don’t want to bother us. But by taking the initiative and asking others how we can be praying for them, we not only communicate to them that they matter to us, but we give them an opportunity to open their hearts and voice their thoughts, concerns, and emotions to us. By asking this question, praying for them, and then following up with them about their prayer request later, we not only communicate to them that we love them; we remind them that they are seen and loved by God as well.

Pastors, don't let the challenge of a small flock discourage you. 🐑 The parable of the sower shows us an interesting principle: It's our job to spread the seed, but it's God's job to bring the harvest. But here's the thing... EVANGELISM can happen on three different levels. ⚙️Level 1- Invite People to Church Here the focus is on equipping people to invite so that the church takes responsibility for offering the gospel. I would often say to our church, "You invite them, and I will share the invitation every time we open the doors." ⚙️Level 2- Invite People to Community Here the focus is on inviting people to join a small group of Sunday School class so they can connect. This option is a deeper dive but includes a small group of people for an easy transition. ⚙️Level 3- Invite People to Know Jesus Here the focus is on telling people how Jesus changed your life and inviting them to make the same decision. It's helpful to train your people on how to share their story with Jesus as the hero. Because we take it for granted, the profundity of this piece of wisdom is easily glossed over by us. What Solomon is saying is that there is nothing within the world that stands fixed and eternal. Everything changes and, as a result, everything is limited to a particular moment, a particular season. Everything has its time and then time marches on and something different has its own moment and season. Solomon makes a list of examples of this, including, "A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal" (Ecclesiastes 3:2-3). Given the changing, seasonal, temporal nature of God's world, you shouldn't center your life on any one thing or activity; you shouldn't elevate any one thing or activity as the be-all and end-all of life. If you do, you will only be disappointed. For what you take as being all-important will surrender its season to the next in line and you will be left wondering why you invested so much of yourself into it. Solomon tells us that "God has made everything beautiful in its own time" (Ecclesiastes 3:11), but if you try to hold on to anything as if it were permanent you will have missed the true meaning and purpose of life. What is the true meaning and purpose of life from Solomon's point of view? He says, "God's purpose is that people should fear him" (Ecclesiastes 3:14). Things come, go, and return once again in an ongoing cycle (Ecclesiastes 3:15). The only thing that stands fixed and firm is God and the only purpose worth a permanent investment on our part is the fear of God. Our true purpose in life is to take each season as it comes and find out what God wants out of it for us.
