Experienced what I did. — But that would not be fair. I cannot condense a very subtle, complex and delicate process into something to satiate an algorithms agenda and still give you an accurate answer. Three years ago I set my sights on a goal I had been wanting to accomplish for years and that was to achieve an MFA degree in Music performance and composition. The road wasn’t easy. It was filled with self-doubt, feelings of frustration and fear, imposter-syndrome, questioning my abilities, my creativity, and my capacity to grow and expand. But I didn’t stop. Many times I wanted to, but I didn’t because somehow the “you can do it!” voice was just a little bit louder than the other ones. Deep down I knew the truth- I have so much to share and this goal was for ME and no one else. I don’t write this to brag about how amazing I am, but to say that I KNOW and understand the feelings that can come when setting out to achieve what feels like an insurmountable goal. For me, the step of just applying to school was scary (what if they turn me down?!) The huge financial investment was scary (Yikes! That’s a lotta dough!) And that was just the beginning! Lol Showing up everyday felt challenging. Showing up when it felt like more than I could take on that day or when I felt lonely being 40 starting up in academia again. Taking on this kind of goal brought up a lot of things, but I share this to say I understand all the feelings that can come up when you’re looking to tackle something huge for yourself. All those little voices and fears felt like playing whack-a-mole almost every day, but I had support along my journey and I came out with a MASSIVE belief in my strength and capabilities. And because I’ve tackled this mountain, I KNOW without a doubt that you can too. Take one step at a time. Take one day at a time. Breath, smile, whack-a-mole the demons, and reach out for help when you need it. I want the joy of reaching the mountaintop for you. Может у вас есть идеи, мои внимательные подписчики ❓😉 ✅ Практикую Соляр уже 4 года. Начиная с дня рождения 12 дней подряд надо соблюдать определённые практики. Очень заряжает на год вперёд. 💫 На самом деле 2 недели в году нам надо на построение планов. А последующие 50 недель делим на 5 спринтов, в каждом по 10 недель. Каждый спринт посвящаем чему-то важному: здоровье, семья, карьера, развитие, отдых и др. Такое распределение помогает сосредоточиться на задачах и эффективно достигать целей. Laying down bass lines is one of my favorite parts of the production process. Sometimes people leave this part out because we can make such dope tracks using only 808s and synth bass sounds, which have become essential in modern music. But there's no true substitute for the soulfulness and the feel that gets added to the vibe of your track when you throw some live bass in there with a perfect bass line and bass fills that fit the track perfectly. There's nothing like it. If you are a music maker who makes original music and you don't play live instruments, or only dabble in it a little bit, I strongly recommend that you start doing it more... It's going to bring your Music to life and elevate it to a new place that you can't even imagine yet. If you do this already, then you already know! As a singing teacher, I spend a reasonable amount of time talking about the perils of too much and too little mucus (not as gross as it sounds, trust me). It is currently autumn in Canberra, so the mucosal conversation has once again turned to hay fever. Hay fever is a common term used for allergic rhinitis, an allergic condition which irritates the upper respiratory tract, including eyes, sinuses, nose, throat and sometimes lungs. We usually think of it as being seasonal in the case of grasses and pollens, however perennial hay fever may be triggered by environmental factors like dust or animals. It is probably the most interfering allergic reaction to plague singers. In fact, I would rank it in the top 5 problematic upper respiratory tract conditions to impact singers, sharing prime position alongside asthma and the common cold. However, it is only one type of allergy that can affect the vocal instrument. So, if you are a sufferer, understanding your own allergies and their treatment is a must in order to develop as a singer.
