Officers of the militia were often related to each other and belonged to the wealthiest families in the city. Colonel Johan Claesz Loo was the owner of the De Drie Leliën brewery, but also a member of the Haarlem city council. Sergeant Nicolaes Loo was the son of the colonel. The colonel's son-in-law, Florens van der Hoef, was captain, councilor and mayor. Captain Nicolaes Grauwert was the brother-in-law of the colonel. Подтверждаю 💯 Очаровательный центр, окруженный 4️⃣ вулканами, за которыми можно наблюдать прямо из города. Единственное — вечером для меня тут показалось уж очень шумно из-за музыки, играющей в каждом ресторане и перебивающей друг друга. 🎵 Ну и народууу тьма! 😁 Очень понравился музей Ампаро, где собраны различные артефакты древних времен. Можно проследить, как менялась Мексика и уклад жизни местного населения до настоящего момента. За пределами исторического центра разбросаны небоскребы, хорошие автомобильные дороги и развязки, магазины, торговые центры, и тд. В общем, жизнь бьёт ключом. Изюминкой моего пребывания в Пуэбле стала Чолула — небольшой городок, находящаяся примерно в 20 км от столицы штата. Впечатляет и пирамида Майя, и церковь над ней, и красивые старинные замки. I confirm 👍 A charming center surrounded by 4️⃣ volcanoes, which can be observed directly from the city. The only thing I don’t like is too much noise in the central square called Zocalo in the evening, because the music playing in every restaurant is interrupting each other. And there are sooo many people! 😁 I really liked the Amparo Museum, where various artifacts of ancient times are collected. You can trace how Mexico and the way of life of the local population have changed up to the present day. Outside the historical center there are some skyscrapers, good roads, different stores and big shopping centers with cinemas, restaurants and so on. It seems: life is in full swing. The highlight of my stay in Puebla was Cholula, a small town located about 20 km from the state capital. The Mayan pyramid, the church above it, and the beautiful ancient castles are impressive. Solo leveling at my safe place. (Additional Photos) National Museum of the Philippines. @natmuseumph One bus ride away from where I live is the bustling City of Manila, where this glorious castle of memories is standing proud. This has been my safe place since my college days and it has never failed to entrance me. On any given weekend I stay here wandering, wondering, musing and amused, like a kid in a candy store. In my case, an adult in a gigantic room full of figurative books that looks you in the eye and tell you their story without turning any page. There will be more if these musings of mine in these corridors of history. Many more realizations. Many more peace in its' walls. Many more moments of escape from reality. In this place I fear no death, though I'm surrounded by memories of souls long gone. I always wished I could talk to them through their paintings like in Harry Potter. To pick their brain up for guidance and enlightenment. Yet, their legacy is enough for me to realize what to do in this life.
