Beginning a series of devotions to Saint Lucy so that I might ask for the psychic vision oil I will create in her honor might be blessed with the appropriate traits and characteristics and so that it might be worthy of her Holy name. Amen. This is another exciting one for me. While my recipe is tight and locked in I am looking for some sort of token, amulet, or talisman to include with the oil. Good morning friends! Instead of drawing from the tarot deck this morning I went to my MALACH deck and asked my guardians to give me a general message for all my friends and followers. I drew Mem Zayin and Lamed. Numerologically broken down to 5 and representing the Hebrew letter Hey and meaning the Divine breath, revelation, or presence in a Kabbalistic sense. Found these stacked between a bunch of books while moving stuff around the other day. I only vaguely remember creating them but recall many of the themes belonging to a series of visions I had while in meditation over the course of about 18 months. Much of what I was experiencing, writing about, and experimenting with, was surely related to those early days of the pandemic so it’s no wonder I’m a little hazy on it. If I were to dig out my Grimoire and my notes from that period I’m sure there is a key to understanding it all. I had even begun writing a book based upon some of these ideas but I have no idea where that material ended up. In my never ending quest to eek as much as I can out of these conversations with my guardian angel and to throw nothing away, I present the above. This is not a Hebrew word, in fact it seems to come from the Algonquian word “pakan,” which describes nuts requiring a stone to crack. However, it does read as “pecan” phonetically; that is a result. The question posed was about business and forecasts relating to growth and longevity. Symbolically the pecan can represent prosperity and abundance, longevity and immortality, fertility, intellectual and cognitive enhancement, and spiritual nourishment. All of these general ideas bode well in regards to the queries put forward. Just another way in which these cards have given me incredibly rich answers that I have sometimes had to focus to receive. In discussions with my guardian angel I brought up my purpose and all the trauma, generational and otherwise, I’d suffered throughout the years and how it applies to my work in the present. The internal answer, whispered to my soul, was that it informs my work, provides me with lived experience, and allows me to be closer to the subject. That my pain gives me a power that can never be diminished or taken away once it is fully claimed. The external answer gained via my prototype deck was: TAV QOF LAMED, which can be constructed into the word “tuhkel,” which roughly means “makes it easy.” The dual nature of this correspondence is amazing. Internal feelings validated by an external source that can be researched and further studied. I’m finding that certain types of questions are more readily answered than others, that certain times of day are better, and that locations, inside and outside of the home, are better than others. Further, while I can communicate with my guardian without my HGA oil, using it makes the signal, so to speak, much much clearer. Messing with an old recipe for Besamim, also know as “Lucky Money Herbs Mixture,” that can be added to a bath, used to roll candles, burn as incense, dress money, or simply inhale. It will increase wealth, prospects, and abundance. Besamim has been used by Jews for centuries at the end of Shabbat to comfort the soul, which is saddened by the departure of the “extra soul” that it received on Shabbat. My dreams were all like this last night. Everywhere I went; ר (Resh). Around every turn; ר. It was as if someone, or something, were working very hard to make sure I didn’t miss the message. So, what is there to gain from this, the 20th letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet? The letter Resh, itself, likely derives from the Proto-Sinaitic script, where its shape was inspired by a human head. In Semitic languages, the word for head is “ra’sh,” which underscores this connection. In many areas of Jewish thought, Resh can symbolize poverty and wickedness, particularly because in the ordering of the Hebrew alphabet, it precedes the letter Shin, which represents the divine name Shaddai and thus, divine abundance. This juxtaposition highlights themes of spiritual and moral destitution versus divine richness. In Kabbalah, the area I’m mostly digging around in, Resh is associated with the sefirah of Keter, which represents divine will and the crown. This association imbues Resh with connotations of leadership, high spiritual status, and the intellectual faculties of the head or mind. While I still have a few minor edits ahead and the accompanying booklet to nail down, my divination deck “MALACH,” meaning messenger or angel, is pretty much ready for print! Here is a little sample. This is a 22 card deck developed over the past couple of years as I searched for new ways to use a standard tarot deck and eek a little more information from it. As I began my journey to find knowledge and communication with my Holy Guardian Angel, I was drawn, more and more, to the Major Arcana and the other corresponding messaging hidden therein. I found that reading the Major Arcana was a good start, but then leaning into the Kabbalistic significance of the Hebrew letters took it further, then the numerology, and further constructing Hebrew root words from 3 and 4 card draws to find direct messaging from the spirits; in this case my guardian angels. I have tested this idea over and over and found it deeply enriching spiritually and fulfilling if you are willing to take a very deep dive into what is truly available to you if the spirits are willing. But this is not a deck for those looking for a casual reading, though it can do that too; this is a deck for those really willing to get out a journal and make notes, experiment, and really connect with your guardian spirits. But I need your help. Printing a deck and getting out there is far more expensive than I imagined. I don’t love pre-orders, but to get this off the ground and available, it might be the only way. I will be offering two options for pre-orders. 1) A standard deck and book offering, blessed and dressed before shipping or 2) The deluxe offering with the deck, booklet, HGA oil, and fixed HGA coin in a wooden box, all dressed and blessed before shipping. I’ve been hard at work prototyping and perfecting an oracle deck based on the way I’ve been using the Major Arcana and linking it all to the Hebrew language, Kabbalah, and ultimately, I think, the Ark of the Covenant. So far, it’s working well, exceptionally well, but I’m feeling like to get into the deeper stuff tied into language and root words, or requires a little much of the user. While I’m glad to dig into dusty dictionaries and whatnot, others may not want to go that far. I’m trying to make sure that it’s usable enough as is with the option of taking it to the next level if you choose to do so. Also, prototyping is hard, y’all.
