Au contraire du méchant avide de pouvoir qui sombre dans les travers de ce monde. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) Score: 7.8 out of 10 Let’s get one thing straight from the start: this movie will never be and was never meant to be another “Mad Max: Fury Road”. To expect the King of Wasteland Western George Miller to pull exactly the same trick in a prequel of arguably the best movie that he’s ever made is more bonkers than the idea of a Coma-Doof Warrior, and come to think of it, any intent of making a prequel that’s bigger than the 2015 action masterpiece is always going to be recipe for leaving a bad taste. Then again, comparisons to “Fury Road” is as inevitable as the existence of sand in the desert, simply because of how relentlessly electrifying Charlize Theron’s portrayal of Furiosa was in the 2015 film, immediately catapulting the character into action goddess status. Very wisely, Miller makes it clear from the beginning of this movie that he’s taking his time with this one. Yes, there are still some wacky personalities, over the top dialogue, and crazy action scenes that only Miller could pull off (although there’s more CGI being used this time around), but if “Fury Road” was a nonstop rollercoaster ride, then “Furiosa” is Miller’s version of a slow burn actioner with a surprising amount of politics and philosophy thrown into the mix. The Anya Taylor-Joy/Chris Hemsworth dynamics here interestingly reminded me of the pairing of Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger in “The Dark Knight”. Taylor-Joy gets the job done, but the more memorable character was actually Hemsworth’s Dr. Dementus who despite all his hammy, color tone changing glory still left room for some riveting performance. Tom Burke is also no fluke as the badass Praetorian Jack, while Charlee Fraser very properly helped carry the movie’s opening act. This movie’s climax will likely disappoint a lot of people, although in my case it gradually became more acceptable once I let it sink in. In the end, nobody does movies like George Miller, so see this on the biggest screen possible. [스포일러 제로] 조지 밀러 영감의 뚝심이 내놓은 매드맥스Mad Max 시리즈의 최신작 퓨리오사Furiosa 개봉 첫날인 오늘 아이맥스 중앙열 두번째 좌석을 꿰차고 봤다. 용돈이 부족하던 고딩시절 저렴한 개봉관을 쫓아 의정부까지 가서(인터넷도 없던 시절인데다 개봉관임에도 신문광고를 하지 않던 곳이어서 정보없이 그냥 영화 보러 가는 것이었지 뭘 정해놓고 가는 법은 없었다. 2차 개봉관 처럼 좌석지정이 없어 영화관에 도착하면 영화 끝날 때 쯤 들어가 영화보기를 마친 사람들이 일어날 때 동작이 빠르면 다음차에 앉아서 보고 기회를 놓치면 서서 봐야 했다. 이름은 중앙극장이었지만 서울에 있던 중앙극장과 무슨 관계였는지는 오리무중) 마침 상영중이었던 매드맥스를 우연찮게 봤던 기억은 지금도 생생하다. 헬멧과 선글라스를 쓴 남정네가 정면으로 보는 이를 향해 대구경의 총을 조준하는 것 같은 단순한 포스터가 호기심을 잔뜩 부추겼다. 매드맥스는 영화의 변방 호주에서도 저예산 영화로 제작되었지만 시종 음산한 분위기의 디스토피아를 충격적으로 그려내 대박이 터졌다. 오늘날의 기준으로 보자면 지극히 평범한 수준이었겠지만 얼핏만 봐도 일말의 죄의식 조차 없이 범죄가 일상임을 암시하는 폭주족의 분장만으로도 충격이었고, 산사람을 낄낄거리며 불에 태우는 장면이나 폭주 중 트럭에 깔려 죽는 장면은 당시로선 보기드문 장면이었으니 충격없이 본 사람은 많지 않았을게다. 종말 이후를 소재로 한 영화가 전에도 적지 않았지만 이 영화는 분장, 세팅, 배경 등에서 확실한 차별점이 보일만큼 독보적이었고 가상이면서도 역설적으로 그 자체의 현실성 부여가 탁월했고 설득력도 강했다. 입소문은 삽시간에 퍼졌고 친구들 중 이 영화를 안 본 친구는 많지 않았던듯 하다. 무명의 멜 깁슨Mel Gibson은 이 영화로 일약 대스타가 되었고 헐리우드의 물량공세 속에 매드맥스2가 동일 감독과 주연을 내세워 제작되었지만 가난했던 대한민국은 수입을 하지 못해 후에 출시된 비디오로 볼 수 밖에 없었음에도 그 역시 센세이셔널했던 것으로 기억된다. 티나 터너가 주요인물로 출연했던 3편은 여지없이 망했다. 인상적인 것이 아무것도 없었던 평범한 폭력영화로 드물게 재미없었다. 몇 년 전 또 한 편의 매드맥스 '분노의 도로Fury Road'가 개봉된다는 말에 기대를 한껏 하고 봤었다. 영화는 기대를 훨씬 뛰어넘는 그 이상이었다. 스타워즈나 매트릭스 처럼 당초 시리즈로 기획된 영화가 아니고 예정에 없던 속편이나 시리즈가 전편의 대성공에 힘입어 나오면 결과물은 예외없이 기대를 배신했다. 3편이 망작이었지만 오랜 공백끝에 내놓은 후속편의 성공에 많은 매니아들이 열광했다. 분노의 도로는 4D/4DX로 두 번을 봤다. 전작을 뛰어넘기 어려울거라는 짐작 때문에 이번엔 기대를 접었지만 팬심과 그간의 의리, 그리고 호기심으로 봤다. 조지 밀러Georg Miller 영감은 늙을수록 아이디어와 에너지가 넘쳐나나 보다. 이번에도 보는 내내 박진감 넘치는 영상과 단순하지만 흥미진진한 스토리가 시종일관 눈을 떼기 어렵게 만들었다. 그동안 주인공이었던 맥스는 영화에 등장하지 않고 여전사 퓨리오사를 중심으로 '분노의 도로'편 직전까지 이야기가 전개된다. 이 영화를 보고 분노의 도로를 복습하는 것도 좋을 것 같다. 아직 안봤다면 순서를 역으로 보면 완벽한 감상 되겠지만 상영관에서 봐야만 하는 분노의 도로가 조만간 재개봉할 턱은 없어 보인다. 원래도 좋아하는 배우였지만 샤를리즈 테론이 연기한 퓨리오사의 카리스마와 매력은 대체불가로 생각하는 내게 안야 테일러 조이의 퓨리오사는 나름의 매력이 있지만 아쉽다. 휴 키스 바이른의 쳐죽일 악당 임모탄 조 여전하고 토르 어르신(크리스 햄스워스)도 담궈버리고 싶을 정도로 미운 악당으로 등장하니 톰 하디의 맥스가 없어도 그리 크게 서운하진 않다. 퓨리오사의 조력자 잭 역을 맡은 톰 버크도 나름의 매력과 카리스마가 있다. 청년기의 추억이 오늘까지 이어지니 흥분했나 잡설만 길다. 아이맥스로 봤으니 4DX로 한 번 더 볼란다. 조지 밀러 영감 복받으시오. 장수하시고 몇 편 더 만듭시다. #매드맥스 #MadMax #사가 #Saga #퓨리오사 #조지밀러 #GeorgeMiller #안야테일러조이 #AnyaTaylorJoy #휴키스바이른 #HughKeaysByrne #크리스헴스워스 #ChrisHemsworth #톰버크 #TomBurke #톰하디 #TomHardy #샤를리즈테론 #CharlizeTheron #멜깁슨 #MelGibson

《芙莉歐莎：瘋狂麥斯傳奇篇章Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga》綜合評分：B 這個系列洋洋灑灑的也來到第五部作品了，但早期的三部作品因為年代久遠我倒是還真的沒看過。不過作為上一部精采的作品前傳來說，保有了一貫精彩、原始、粗曠的元素已實屬難得，更何況更是以近乎完美的實現了承先啟後的篇章。 如片名所言，這次就是聚焦在上一集莎莉賽隆所飾演的主角如何成長的過程。除了上一集所呈現女性的堅毅之外，更是在開頭流露出相較於男性中柔軟的部分。 雖然劇情中還是有點小小Bug啦，但整體來說瑕不掩瑜。而飛車追逐的戲碼更是更上一層樓，可以想像在拍攝時的艱辛以及想要突破的決心。另外在煉油廠的戲碼也是高於期待的精彩。特效不足的地方也是利用了末日的特性巧妙的蓋過。 音樂雖然沒有更加的突破，但承接著上一集所挾帶的振奮感也就足夠。在外加上克里斯漢斯沃渾然天成的瘋癲演技，還有安雅的美貌，完整地呈現了上部作品的優異之處又好好地述說了一個完整的故事，這部絕對會是一部值得上戲院(IMAX)的好作品。 #madmax #furiosaamadmaxsaga #georgemiller #moviereview #瘋狂麥斯 #芙莉歐莎瘋狂麥斯傳奇篇章 #影評

FURIOSA (2024) . Furiosa is a girl boss made by an 80 year old man and it shows. I had fun watching Fury Road, but I must say this was nothing more than a fun popcorn flix but I won't be seeing it for the second time at the cinema. Felt like I was watching another version of Thor Ragnarok with prosthetic make-up. We already have enough Reynolds and Gosling, please stop trying to make Hemsworth into another version of them. . One of its biggest let dows was the fact that they probably used more blue screen than practical effects unlike its predecessors followed by its weak screenplay with plenty dad jokes but not much depth. . J’avais alors tenté de rattraper la trilogie Mad Max sans succès, le premier m’ayant peu emballé. Aujourd’hui pourtant, George Miller m’a pleinement convaincu avec «Furiosa» ! Préquel à «Fury Road», on y suit une enfant, arrachée à la Terre Verte par une horde de motards dirigée par le redoutable Démentus. Dans un monde en déclin, celle-ci n’a plus qu’un seul désir : la vengeance. Lors de mon visionnage de l’opus précèdent, il me manquait du contexte. Je suis prêt à accepter beaucoup de choses de l'art cinématographique, j’ai néanmoins besoin d’un scénario aux bases solides, ou qui du moins, permet de justifier ce qui se déroule devant mes yeux. Ici, George Miller englobe la performance visuelle et l’action pure et dure d’une histoire plus profonde qu’il n’y paraît et où les messages sont plus lisibles qu’auparavant. Les points forts sont légions mais je n’ai pas envie de saccager votre expérience en donnant trop de détails. Je me contenterai de mettre en avant les performances d’acteurs avec une Anya Taylor-Joy convaincante (digne successeur de Charlize Theron) et un Chris Hemsworth étonnant dans un rôle qui rappellerait presque son personnage de Thor (version sombre). Inévitablement, on retiendra dans les années à venir quelques scènes iconiques, notamment une course-poursuite où des cerfs-volants sont mis à rude épreuve ou une autre dans les dunes sous une musique assourdissante. Bref, du grand cinéma et un véritable shoot d'adrénaline. Peut-être moins jusqu’au-boutiste dans l’action que son prédécesseur, «Furiosa» parvient enfin à m’intégrer à l’univers Mad Max et me procure l’envie de redécouvrir la saga. George Miller comblera autant les nouveaux venus, qu’il déstabilisera ceux déjà conquis et c’est probablement mieux ainsi. Que demander de plus que ce type de réalisateur qui ose prendre des risques et se renouveler 42 ans après "Mad Max" ? (rappelons que le monsieur est également le papa de projets bien différents comme "Babe" ou encore "Happy Feet"). * La note : ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌗 - 4,5/5 (Presque Parfait)

Last night, I was Witnessed ☢️ So I kept it tight to the chest to not mess up the luck, but after the Furiosa experience on Sunday, I spoke with one of the @warnerbrosca PR people, and ended up getting myself and @lady_bethh on the guest list for the Furiosa Fan Screening last night! I've got loads of video and some of these photos will be added to the bug video I'm putting together later today, but I just wanted to make a quick photo post about how absolutely amazing it was. The Warboys were so much fun, wandering the IMAX theatre, and taking photos and interacting with the audience pre-show, and hyping up the crowd for the man himself, GEORGE MILLER!! Let’s take a little break from the birthday celebrations to recognize one of the greatest cinematic films I have ever seen, Mad Max: Fury Road. Director George Miller returns to the wasteland this weekend with Furiosa, a prequel starring Anya Taylor Joy as the titular Imperator. I’m surprised it took this long for this story, but I’m thrilled to see it waited long enough to see Joy take on the role from Theron. In 2015, my mum was dying to get to see this while I worked at my local cinema. I had no knowledge of the Mad Max franchise, but I never expected to be so wowed by Fury Road (mum’s got good taste). It is a full throttle thrill ride from beginning to end with brilliant use of music, colour, stunts, and cinematography. This movie is what it feels like to drink a celsius. There is minimal dialogue in these films, it focuses on the job at hand: heavy metal clanking and explosions. On top of that, a deep story is still delivered through creative forces and you add incredible stunt coordination and you have one of the best action films of the millennium. With Furiosa upon us, seeing the story of how this heroine became a legend will surely offer up more crushed steel, epic action, and hard-hitting themes. En parcourant le Wasteland, ils tombent sur la Citadelle présidée par Immortan Joe. Alors que les deux tyrans se font la guerre pour la domination, Furiosa doit survivre à de nombreuses épreuves pour trouver le moyen de rentrer chez elle. Dans les rôles principaux, @anyataylorjoy prête ses traits à Furiosa. Elle joue au côté de @chrishemsworth qui incarne l'antagoniste Warlord Dementus. Most part of movie he’s more mild mannered Max, rather than mad until death of his family. lol forget b4 what goes down in sequels offscreen there’s a lot of green trees 🌴 & fields, stands out from rest of the movies. With the wonderful & haunting music 🎶 score has touch of the old horror vibes throughout. Uneasy & unsettling but definitely thrilling & enjoyable start in this chaotic franchise where the living fear & the crazies rule. Furiosa - George MILLER (2024) 🎬: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌍 Le monde n'est plus, la raison n'est plus. La désolation et la folie règnent désormais en maîtres. Dans l'univers de "MAD MAX", la mort, la violence, la folie, sont omniprésents. ⏳️Tout commence en 1979 sur les routes désertiques d'Australie. Une équipe réduite à mis en scène en quelques semaines un projet ambitieux. Un film post-apocalyptique sur les dérives de notre société et la dégringolade inévitable vers la violence extrême dans laquelle elle sombre. Les gangs de pilleurs enjambant de grosses cylindrées sur-gonflées à bloc, règnent sur les routes. La Police doit faire face à cette vague de meurtres et de viols, impuissante tant sur ses méthodes que sur ses effectifs, sans rapport avec le mal grandissant et bien réel qu'ils doivent combattre. 🚔Max Rockatansky (M. GIBSON) ose les affronter mais les représailles sont sans appel: sa femme et son bébé et sauvagement assassinés sous ses yeux, écrasés sur l'asphalte brûlant d'une route perdue. Max sombre peu à peu et est attisé par un désir de vengeance qui, même assouvie, ne sera jamais rassasiée. 🌄Les années passent et le monde s'est éteint à l'instar de toute humanité qui régnait encore en chacun des êtres humains encore en vie. Le monde se fait désormais la guerre pour un bidon d'essence. Sans carburant, plus de véhicule, plus de vitesse et c'est la mort assurée. Max tentera à chaque nouvelle rencontre, de rétablir ce lien avec ses semblables, sans jamais vraiment y parvenir. Quelque chose s'est cassé en lui, à tout jamais et il n'est plus qu'un spectre errant sur une Terre aride de désolation... 🛢Bien des années plus tard encore, aux confins de ce qu'il reste de son monde, il va faire la rencontre de Furiosa, une femme forte, increvable, rare lueur d'espoir au milieu d'un monde quasi masculin qui déborde de grosses cylindrées et de testostérone.
