We enjoyed an incredible dinner at Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa yesterday evening. Citricos was recently reimagined and is absolutely stunning with a subtle ode to Mary Poppins and features Florida cuisine with a Mediterranean influence. I ordered the Sustainable Fish which was a Golden Tilefish and my husband ordered the Guava Barbecued Short Ribs. Both were excellent! We agreed that it was one of the best meals we’ve had on Disney property or anywhere! The windows around the edge of this room (behind me when I took the photo) provide a view of the pool, which can be good or bad I guess, depending on whether or not you like to people-watch while you eat 🙈 I personally found it both off-putting and hilarious when a man walked by the window in his Speedo 🩲… . A frequent question when planning a Disney World trip is "what is your favorite restaurant ?" This is such a tough question because I have several that I consider favorites for different reasons. But if I had to pick my #1 MUST DO for first time visitors to Disney World it would be ~Cinderella's Royal Table~ Even for those without children, it still ranks as my top dining experience. Here is why: • The Food: It is amazing. My appetizer, entree, and dessert were all perfection. I would even say the Clock Strikes 12 dessert was one of the best I've ever had. My husband was not thrilled about this reservation (due to the princess meet and greets and price), but it ended up being his favorite meal of our entire vacation. I recently dined there with my sisters for marathon week without our children. We all had a fabulous experience and agreed it was our favorite meal of the trip. • The Castle: Cinderella's Royal Table is located right inside the beautiful castle, and a reservation is the only way to see inside this majestic landmark. It's a very special experience to dine there. • Character Interaction: Five Princesses will be announced and your family will be able to meet them all and get pictures with each. For little ones, this is a really great opportunity to get both fantastic food, and characters in one place without waiting in line. • Ambiance: This is not a place for a quiet romantic date with all the little ones around, but I love watching the magic unfold as they wave their wands in the air. It's adorable and pretty entertaining. The setting is beautiful with the stained-glass windows, and royal theming. • TIPS *Cinderella's Royal Table is the most difficult reservation to get in Disney World, so booking 180 days in advance is needed. You will have to pre-pay for each person in your party at the time of booking. *Lunch or Dinner is the best meal to book. *Gratuity is included in the pre-pay amount, so if the price scares you away, make sure to factor that in. *It is a signature restaurant so 2 table service credits on the Disney Dining Plan.
