I 🩷💚 the #disneydomecake. It was decadent, moist, and a chocolate addict’s dream come true. Usually desserts here are too sweet for me, but this was perfect. I still have dreams about it. ✅ ~ $40 (anyone confirm? ✨DISNEY tip! ✨ Being such a busy working mom with 3 children as a first responder doing 12 and 24hour shifts I don’t have much time available to plan ahead for my Disney vacations. I try to utilize the internet as much as possible to make planning a vacation easier! Here are some things I do to prepare before our vacation to Disney while working as a first responder. •Amazon, Amazon, Amazon! I try to get essentials I need from Amazon so I can have the items delivered to my house and not have to go to the store with my limited time. I purchase items such as: ponchos, portable fans, clothing, accessories, sunblock, chapstick, etc. •Target pick up! Ordering a target pickup is a life saver! You can get little travel necessities that you’ll need such as chapstick, bandaids, clothing, snacks, medications, lotion, toothpaste, hair ties, water bottles, etc. it is a life saver! •Costco We get Costco size snacks that are shelf life sustainable so we can have them to pack and they don’t go bad quickly such as chips, beef jerky, fruit snacks, protein bars, crackers, apple sauce pouches, etc. Near Disneyland there are convenient stores located close by as well such as Target, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens. Beware: 𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 And I still cannot get over it. The trip had already been clouded because we all got sick and on top of that, on our last day there, we were robbed. 𝐀𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡! If you are going to Disneyland DO NOT leave anything in your stroller. I was weary about the whole “park your stroller here while you go on the ride” because there’s no one watching the strollers. I of course did take my camera, and my diaper bag but we left Enzo’s water cup and his brand new souvenir: his Buzz Lightyear toy. Who steals from a child?! Traveling alone offers a unique sense of empowerment and it's liberating! Just steps away from Downtown Disney you will find the Disneyland Hotel, one of the 3 on property hotels at Disneyland. If you are an early riser, I recommend staying on property while at Disneyland to take advantage of the early park entry for hotel guests. Jumping into the weekend like… And yes, we were @disneyland and @californiaadventurepark for less than 48 hrs but my daughter and I no joke spent a solid couple of hours doing “photoshoots” around the parks. So thankful my mini me appreciates documenting memories as much as I do.

Are you ready for that @disney content? Well I can’t stop, won’t stop so buckle up 😉 When I was a young girl my grandparents lived in Florida and took my cousins and I to Disney World often. Literally some of the best core memories from my childhood were spent there together. It was the same feeling as Christmas morning. The anticipation the night before we would go had me barely being able to sleep. The magic of the experience was very real and what I wish we could experience more in this lifetime as both kids and adults. Fast forward to present day watching my kids taking in all that same magic for the first time was truly priceless. I guess I may need yet another side hustle as I think they are hooked and may not wait years to pass by before we visit again.

This is how moms do Disney: ✔️book hotel ✔️pack the luggage and backpacks ✔️pack the water and snacks ✔️pack sweatshirts and rain gear ✔️organize shuttle time ✔️eat on the go because you were getting buffet food for kids and forget to eat ✔️carry all the things as the kids refuse and you don’t have it in you to fight ✔️download app and sort out ride times and good options ✔️ensure sunscreen application ✔️experience from 8a - 12a because the kids don’t want to stop after being introduced the Disney magic for the first time ✔️take pain meds at the end of it all because you aren’t a 10 yo at Disney anymore and your entire body and brain hurt from all the stimulation Disney sure is the happiest place on earth, but I observed a lot of exhausted parents behind the excited children. Making memories is tiring. Absolutely so worth, it but it is no “vacation”. A shout out to the ones that have walked before us and after us, giving their kids the best experiences in this life. And yes, you better believe I took just a few photos, so don’t hate when I overshare lol. Finally, the only thing I did to prepare was listen to @jennycookies podcast on great tips as we were literally Enroute to the park. That being said I have a couple tips to share and will be doing a blog post on how to do Disney on a budget. Our kids were gifted tickets from in-laws for Xmas and you know our Vancouver mortgage and life doesn’t see us having excess to spend. Stay tuned.
