This was a real treat, perusing CDs at Barnes and Noble back in the day and realizing Disney had released the PETE'S DRAGON soundtrack on CD. For a studio with such a rich legacy of music, Disney never seemed eager to make a lot of it available. Watching PETE'S DRAGON on TV at a young age was definitely influential in forming a love for musicals. Afterwards, I loved "Brazzle Dazzle Day" so much, I attempted to write my own song! It's such a great song that Disney should use more in the parks, like in stage shows. Isn't every day at Disneyland a Brazzle Dazzle Day? "Bill of Sale" has been known to get sick in my head. Disney's new Frozen Journey ride is probably one of the best rides they've ever created. ❄️🤯🚨 We got to ride Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey in Tokyo DisneySea's Fantasy Springs as part of a media preview and we're speechless. 👀 The quality of the animatronics -- the sheer NUMBER of animatronics -- coupled with the kind of emotion they're capable of showing...and the movements...I've never seen a robot do that! 🤯 Wait until you see Anna’s frozen heart 🩵 and then when she unfreezes (that’s slide no. 9 BTW)! While so many of Tokyo Disney's rides are impeccable, and truly boundary-pushing when it comes to technology, this one has 🔍blurred the line between technology and emotion, robots and humans, in an extraordinary way. There are details EVERYWHERE. 🤯 From wooden swords 🤺 to arrow-ridden lanterns 🏹 to rafts 🚣 and totem poles made of found objects. 🌋 But the best part? 🏴☠️You can go ON TO Captain Hook's SHIP!🦜 When I saw the concept art for this land, I never dreamed that you could actually go aboard. 🥹 But, silly me -- of course you can. THIS IS TOKYO DISNEYSEA and everything is all about exquisite detail here! 😍 Just...LOOK! 🤩 We also got to ride 🌠Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure,🌠 which is a totally 3D, screen-based ride. But the effect is seamless, and you can even see some high-tech reactions from actual objects! 🧜♀️ This one reminds us a lot of Spiderman at Universal Orlando...with a little Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure thrown in! I bought this CD on the morning POCAHONTAS opened in theaters. I had just graduated from high school and was working at a Kmart store. I stopped by before the movie, bought the CD and a Nestle POCAHONTAS chocolate bar. The movie blew me away, and I returned to the car to see the chocolate bar melted from the summer heat. 😭 But the thrill of the movie and getting to hear the music helped me get over that. The hotel will remain open and rooms will be available, but will be limited. 🚧 Also -- construction noise. 🏖️ Rooms at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be under refurbishment from January through May 2025. ALSO the pool shared by Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts, Stormalong Bay, will be closed around the same time — from January through June 2025. ⛵ If you have already booked a stay for these resorts while construction will be underway, you may want to reconsider 🤔 and book a different hotel during that time. WE’RE IN!!! 🏕️‼️🌅🌲 We got the chance to tour a real, live, ✨new Fort Wilderness cabin✨ today!! Swipe for tons of video ➡️➡️➡️ Here are a few notes: 🏕️ Every cabin has a private deck with furniture and grill, plus a taller ceiling with skylights for lots of natural light 🌲 New cabins are 527 sq feet — the same size as the original cabins, just a different layout. This was intentional not to disturb the existing nature and greenery. 🌅 Bunk beds are twin, 1 bedroom bed is a queen, and Murphy is a queen. In total, the cabin sleeps 6. ‼️ The top bunk folds down to make it easier for mousekeeping to make up the bed! I know y’all are bummed to lose the classic cabins, and I am too. 😔 I get it. But these are pretty well designed inside and offer some great efficiency and amenities. I think families will be happy here 🧡

Permit filed for Test Track’s overhaul in EPCOT 🚙 ⚠️ In case you missed it, Test Track is set to 🔒close on June 17th in EPCOT for a re-theme.🚧 Recently, Disney filed a NEW permit for general construction at the location, which is vague and could refer to several different types of projects from stormwater drainage ⛈️ to building. But the permit was filed with Coastal Steel, Inc, whom Disney has brought in for major jobs like Mission SPACE, Expedition Everest, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and others. 🎢 Here's hoping we'll see some exciting, large-scale changes. 👀 Reminder that Disney mentioned the "new" Test Track will take inspiration from 🧡World of Motion,💙 the ride that was originally in this space when the park opened in 1982. 🚨Disney’s remaining Splash Mountain ride is getting some updates! 💦⛰️ Tokyo Disney Resort is CRANKING UP the ride as part of its new summer event called “Get Soaked!”💧From July 2-Sept 18, the new version of the ride will be called “Splash Mountain Get Soaked MAX” with MORE water than usual on the ride and an additional water effect on the drop. 🚿🚿🚿 Other parts of the Get Soaked event include Baymax 🤍 in the parade spraying guests with water, ⛲️Toontown transforming into “Get Soaked Toontown” with Get Soaked spots scattered throughout the land, and The Country Bear Theater 🐻 bringing back “Vacation Jamboree" May 17th through November 7th! I LOVE IT! This 🍕Pizza Planet popcorn bucket🍿 is making all my 80s kids toy dreams come true! The truck has pull-back action and a removable little green alien driver 🥹 I am smitten. And, honestly, I’m smitten with Pixar Fest overall.
