Hoffmannia refulgens I made a post on this plant a year ago when it was kindly gifted to me by a nice and generous plant collector with whom we exchange quite a lot of plants (she will recognise herself 😊). I thought hoffmannia refulgens was extremely delicate but i have to say that after a year's cultivation it literally exploded without ever posing the slightest problem. As long as it gets enough water (it's a rather thirsty plant) everything is fine. Wine and Roses. This weigela is so easy but to be fair I think all weigela are easy. I’ve never been a huge fan of shrubs but this one stays a reasonable size and shape, doesn’t get or need any fertilizer to stay healthy and just requires a light shearing after blooming for more flowers. Påminnelse till mig själv. Köp ingen annan jord än den vi alltid har använt. Initialt så hade vi en bra start på odlingen men vid första omplantering så köpte jag en annan jord än den jag vanligtvis brukar andvända. Något som straffat sig med sorgmygg, trips och något som gjorde att plantornas bladverk blivit missfärgade och sköra, de trillar av bara du tittar på dem och flera småplantor har dött. Så många av våra småttingarna som flyttat ut ser förskräckliga ut. Men jag kan se återhämtning och frisk tillväxt på de flesta de sorterna. De som klarat sig hyfsat är Baccatum sorterna som inte visat sig vara lika känsliga men Chinense och Annuum har farit riktigt illa. Men nog om det solen skiner och det är fredag och bara det är ju något att njuta av. 😊 Reminder to myself. Do not buy any other soil than the one we have always used. Initially, we had a good start to the season, but at the first replanting, I bought a different soil than the one I usually use. Something that punished itself with fungus gnats, thrips and something that made the leaves of the plants discolored and brittle, they would fall off if you simply looked at them and several small plants have died. So many of our little ones that have moved out look terrible. But no I can see recovery and healthy growth on most of them. The ones that managed decently are the Baccatum varieties, which have not proven to be as sensitive, but Chinense and Annuum have fared really badly. 🌿 Anthurium besseae aff x forgetii 'white stripes' 🌿 Kreuzung von @plantslina 💚 Bei dieser Pflanze ist jedes Blatt eine Überraschung. Bei den Blättern zuvor hat sich der Sinus mehr und mehr geschlossen und jetzt sehe ich plötzlich wieder süße Öhrchen.🐰 Ich muss ehrlich gestehen, dass ich zwischendurch überlegt habe, diese Pflanze zu verkaufen. Ich habe diese Kreuzung von @plantslina mehrfach (die Schwester habe ich in einem vorherigen Post gezeigt) und diese hier hat mich insgesamt irgendwie nicht so sehr überzeugt. Grått och ruggigt ute idag men det växer på i växthusen. Idag fick några av våra stora plantor flytta ut. Även gurkorna och aubergine plantorna har fått flytta ut. Där är redan frukter på några av sorterna och blommar i många av de större plantorna. Gray and rainy outside today, but it's growing along well in the greenhouses. Today, some of our large plants were moved out. The cucumbers and aubergine plants have also been moved out. I'm not sure what or how it happened but at @tobygardenfest I bought plants that were actually on The List. 😱 I've been after the red dead nettle for over a year & failed to pick one up at the same show last year. Big mistake. Huge. The Gilena was added barely 2 weeks ago. Result! Both were from @tortworthplants which is a bit ironic as they are less than 10 miles from me. 🙄 Note to self to visit them more often. Does this mean I'm becoming a Proper Gardener?
