Hello fellow ticket holders. Come with us as we spend a full day just taking it easy around the Disneyland Resort area. In this video we take a rest day and have all of our meals at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. We start our day with breakfast at Craftsman Grill where we have a wonderful bacon, egg, potato and cheese breakfast burrito and chia seed pudding. After breakfast, we make a quick trip down Harbor Blvd to get some items we needed from the Walgreens before taking some time off in our room at the Howard Johnson. After some time had passed, it was time for lunch, so we made our way back over to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel for lunch at the Craftsman Bar. At the Craftsman Bar we had two fantastic drinks, some sticky wings and a mediterranean wagyu burger. After lunch, we spend a couple hours just relaxing on the outdoor terrace and have our favorite snack from The Jazz Kitchen Express; the beignets. Finally, we round out our day by celebrating our 10 year anniversary at our most favorite restaurant Napa Rose. Check out the video on our YouTube channel. We are in that awkward time where the holidays are over, but Christmas is still at the parks! We love all the holiday foods so we are going to get some that we love and ones we haven’t had a chance to try yet. We always love heading over to Craftsman Grill and seeing what donuts they have and what hot dog of the month is available. Last month was a grilled cheese hot dog with tomato soup! This month it’s the Bahn Mi hot dog. But let’s talk about this donut!!! Soooo good. We love these. The Mickey Holiday donut is very chocolatey! Chocolate cake donut covered in chocolate and has chocolate ears. If you like chocolate then try this one. It’s also just a really cute and fun to go snack from the parks. Can’t wait to see what they will come out with next. So I must admit, we do think they taste great, but not amazing. The hotdog of the months is for Father’s Day with The Godfather Dog! There is a new hotdog every month at the Craftsman Grill called the hotdog of the month. We always like trying them and this one we couldn’t pass up. It was like eating an Italian sub, but on a hot dog! The hot dog itself is a high end dog! It would be good plain, but everything on it makes them fun and usually are pretty good! The fries are excellent as well. It’s a pretty good sized meal and fast since it’s a quick service counter. Don’t forget to grab a drink from the freestyle soda machine!! Chewie and Grogu donuts?! Way too cute! We picked these guys up over at the craftsman grill through the Grand California. They taste pretty good too! Chewie is a maple bar donut. Very soft and the maple is really flavorful. The little bit of chocolate is a nice touch. The Grogu donut is a more dense, but moist donut. It tastes very similar to previous donuts they have had here. More of a milk chocolate taste than a dark chocolate on the outside. Really fun donuts! They do sell out early. We missed out on them last week so we went at about 10:30am this time and there were a lot of them. The Craftsman Grill opens early, 6:45am so you can always get some before the parks even open. They are more expensive than previous donuts though. Too expensive for what they are really. Trip Report #7 Solo Disneyland Trip APRIL 23RD-29TH 2022 4.5 park days: (2.5 at Disneyland & 2 at Disney's California Adventure) Resort: Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel Day 7️⃣ - Saturday Today is my travel day home 😔 I can't believe this day is here...it came so fast. I sleep in😴 and I take my time packing up. Check out is at 11am and you bet I'm going to enjoy my room with the Disney music🎶 coming from my TV📺 until 10:59am 😆 I'm a little bit nervous...I WAY overpacked💼 for this trip in the first place and now I have to fit all my souvenirs in my suitcase too 🤣 it's time to play tetris🧳. Those parks mugs☕️ and tumblers do take up some room 🙃 I make it work but it's really heavy... let's hope its still under 50lbs 🤞 I checkout of my room. Drop off my luggage at bell services and head over to the Grand Californian. I check in for my flight online📲. Still on time and I have a couple of hours before needing to get to the airport🛩 sooo... I booked myself a foot🦶 massage at the Tenaya Stone Spa at the Grand Californian. My poor little feet👣 need some LOVE!! I check in...it's such a beautiful and peaceful place. I booked a Mindful Travelers foot🦶 massage and it was HEAVEN!!! 60 minutes of pure bliss👌. The music is peaceful 🎶Disney Music, they offer you tea, they gave me a warm neck pillow, a warm and soft blanket☺️. The lounge chair was so comfortable. I also loved how my scrub was mickey shaped. The massage itself was fantastic. She worked my feet, toes, ankles and lower legs🦵... it was so worth it!!! After my massage I walk right across the way to the Craftman's Grill and ask if they have any walk ups for 1. I'm in luck! They put me at the bar facing the Grand Californian pools🏊♀️ (perfect for people watching). I order myself the avocado toast🍞🥑 and a glass of champagne🍾 as a celebratory drink to an incredible first solo Disney trip (and to hopefully many more)! See the rest of my report in the comments 🙃

Heads up on some menu changes at the Craftsman Bar and Grill in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel! 👀 They have just added this dish: Impossible Meatballs with Marinara Sauce, with Toasted Pine Nuts, Lemon Zest, Parsley, Garlic and Shallots, served in a Sourdough Bread Bowl. It is labeled plant-based, so it won't need modifications. I'll go to try it as soon as I can! 🍝 They seem to have removed the curried cauliflower salad and the avocado toast. They still have the Forest Mushroom Impossible Pizza, which you can order without the cheese. Some people have been told the dough isn't vegan, so, as always with everything, make sure to double check with your server and chef. They also added a Grilled Vegetable Wrap that looks vegan to me, but it's not labelled plant-based, so I can't tell you much about it until I have time to go and ask in person. This restaurant and bar is open to everyone; you don't need to be a guest of the hotel. I'm excited to go try this new dish! It's always exciting when they add something that is explicitly labeled plant-based when there were previously only modifiable options. That's the right direction! 💚🌱💚

First up is the Grogu, aka The Child, donut with a mini macaron in the middle. Next up is the Chewbacca Maple Bar with chocolate decorations. It's a new month at Craftsman Grill at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, which means it's a new Hot Dog of the Month! This one's definitely a winner... the Gordita Dog is a hot dog on a flatbread "bun" with black bean spread, crema, and pico de gallo. The BEST nachos! Craftsman Grill has the most delicious Double-Baked Nachos, and large enough for 2 or more people. I got the steak option, held the beans and the jalapeños, but it also comes with a chicken option. These come with melted cheese, bacon lardons, slivered jalapeño peppers, guacamole, crema and choice of chicken or beef. Craftsman Grill is located in The Grand Californian Hotel, just past the Craftsman Bar and pool area and the hotel entrance to DCA. The frosting tasted fresh and was super butter-cream tasting. You’ll also find a popping surprise inside the middle of the cupcake: gold covered popping crystals! Here is an exciting thing at the Craftsman Grill in the Grand Californian Hotel that @rollercoastervegan got recently! Thank you so much Russell for the photo, for all of the information, and for coming up with the method of ordering this! 😍 I used to have a version of Craftsman Grill's Poke/Rice Bowl on my blog, pre-2020, when there was tofu as an option for it. But since they don't have the tofu anymore, it would be removing so many of the other components in order to veganize it, so I didn't include the bowl in the updated blog post. But @rollercoastervegan talked to a chef recently and they were able to create this great new version of it! 😍 Here is how to request the Veganized Rice Bowl: 🍚 Ask for the Rice Bowl 🍚 Substitute crumbled Impossible meat instead of chicken/beef 🍚 Omit egg, egg roll, and aioli 🍚 This chef used a soy glaze sauce instead of aioli 🍚 For veggies: mushrooms (from the pizza), tomatoes, edamame, cucumber, and asparagus. Topped with green onions, sesame seeds, and a bit of nori I can't guarantee that you will be able to get this on any given day, it might depend on the chef. But if enough of us go there and ask for it, my hope is that it could become a staple off-menu item that any chef is prepared to make on a regular basis 🤞 And then possibly a real menu item at some point! We just need to get over there and keep asking for it! Now that we’re on the topic of food😋 ➖ Find these delicious wagyu sliders at GCH Craftsman Bar (and GCH Craftsman Grill)! 🍔 These sliders are topped with with oven-roasted tomato, vegetable relish, spiced hollandaise, Swiss, artichoke aïoli, and pickled vegetables.🤩 Be sure to ask for ranch on the side if you order the fries- the ranch is so yummy! The menu at the Craftsman is incredible! If you’re in California Adventure park, I HIGHLY recommend coming here for lunch as a mid day break from the craziness- all you have to do is enter the Grand Californian Hotel via the park entrance next to the entrance of the Grizzly River Run rapids ride! This restaurant is made of two parts: 1)The “GCH Craftsman Bar”, which is a full service sit-down restaurant and takes reservations, a virtual walk-up list, and walk-ups for the bar seating. and 2) The “GCH Craftsman Grill” which has the same menu items from the SAME kitchen, but is a quick service walk-up counter! You can mobile order here as well. We went for the quick service option for more flexibility. It did not disappoint, and is my new favorite place to get lunch while having a DCA day!
