“Goodbye, Countess.” •• • A terrific production still of Roger Moore filming the harrowing beach scene in which Countess Lisl von Schlaf (the late Cassandra Harris) is mown down by henchman Locque (driving a beach buggy) in “For Your Eyes Only”. It’s thrilling scene with Roger Moore’s Bond displaying a lot more emotion and the slightly harder edge he had developed for the character in the movie and you can really see his Bond is wounded by the fact that he couldn’t save the poor Countess, despite his best efforts. I really do like Roger’s Bond in “For Your Eyes Only”, the more grounded plot gave him the chance to get back to the character’s roots. This stylish outfit is dark navy wool serge with three naval crested brass shank buttons on the front and three smaller buttons on the right side of the waistband to adjust the fit. A large box-pleated patch pocket on each chest panel closes with a button-down pointed flap and the jacket features commander’s epaulettes and an inner pocket for his Walther PPK.
