Давайте на чистоту, во-первых, сейчас онлайн, делается практически всё на свете и не только в фитнес индустрии, во-вторых, мы ведь не об Олимпийских видах спорта говорим, а о фитнесе. Как и в любых других вещах, онлайн тренинг имеет свои плюсы и минусы. Как правило, тот кто действительно соображает и опытен в этой теме, чаще всего живет от тебя очень далеко. Как назло блин!🤬 Если тебе везёт и ты всегда находишь то, что тебе нужно здесь и сейчас, скорее всего, у тебя просто не такие большие запросы, или для тебя, это просто не особо важно. 1️⃣ Именно это, я считаю и есть самый главный плюс, ты можешь выбрать того человека, который тебе нужен, а не того, которого тебе навязали или ты выбрал сам из более менее подходящих в ближайшем клубе. 2️⃣ Кроме того, как правило, онлайн тренер будет выгоднее, чем тренер в зале, потому что ты с ним 24/7 на связи. Плюс разбор всех необходимых инструментов (анализы, питание, БАДы, тренинг и т.д). 3️⃣ Более удобный формат тренинга. Ты занимаешься в удобное для тебя время, и лишь потом отчет тренеру. 4️⃣ Возможность заниматься в домашних условиях, где нет посторонних глаз, что тоже для некоторых (женщин) играет роль. Так же тренер подстроится под Ваш зал и то оборудование которое там. 5️⃣ Всегда можно обсудить те щепетильные вопросы, которые многие стесняются или бояться обсудить со своим тренером с глазу на глаз. Хотя я не устану повторять, что тренер для Вас не имеет пола.👆 К сожалению, многие клиенты воспринимают фитнес-тренера как аниматора, который должен развлекать, мотивировать, подносить гантели и прочее. В онлайн, это не прокатит ребятки❗️ Конечно можно и по душам поговорить, особенно если нервная система и другие моменты мешают процессу, но здесь уже всё зависит от цели. Hit a big yoke PR last weekend as well. Video 1: 905 lbs ~40 ft Video 2: same lift, different angle Video 3: 815 lbs ~40 ft (warmup)(almost ran over Aila) . . Was ecstatic about this lift (if you couldn’t tell). My previous best on yoke was 880 for about 15 really ugly feet. Picked and dropped it like 6 times. 😅 . . Had an amazing vacation to Iceland with my beautiful wife. This is our second trip to the land of fire and ice. We made sure to see as many sights as we could that we hadn’t seen the first time. There’s never any shortage of stunning things to see here. It seems like there’s something exciting around every bend of every fjord. . . The trip felt extra special this time. We just rented a car and did things at our own pace. Did some stone lifting, some hiking, went to some museums, did lots of eating. I love this country, everyone is always so welcoming, the sights are breathtaking, the food is amazing and fresh, the air is clean, and the history is rich. I cannot wait to return. . . Also, I bumped into a giant @thorbjornsson as well as the legendary @stefansolvi (not pictured). Always a pleasure to chat with Hafthor. He’s genuinely a really nice guy who always has encouraging words. When last we met I was a tiny 225 lbs. I hadn’t started strongman yet and I looked like a small child next to him 😅 Stefan was great to chat with as well. I hugely admire his work on the rogue documentary Fulsterkur, and I used to watch him compete when I was young. It never ceases to amaze me how kind these guys are. IHGF Canadian Heavy Events Championship. Was honoured to be invited to my first ever Highland Games nationals and I came out swinging. . . Event 7: Caber Toss. The Caber is absolutely one of my favourite events. Nothing quite compares. . . The cabers worked in a two tier system, any successful throw on the smaller Caber qualifies you to throw the larger Caber. 3 attempts at each. I got the smaller Caber on my 3rd attempt moving me on to the pro Caber. . . This pro Caber was monstrous. Over 19 feet long and nearly 120 lbs. this thing is a unit! I had to dump in on my first two attempts, but on my third I nearly had it. Unfortunately I Fifered it. (A Fifer is when the Caber comes up to 90 degrees but falls to the side rather than forward). Event 5: Heavy Hammer (22 lbs) Not an amazing result on the heavy hammer, still a lot of technical stuff to work out (like how to throw hammers without looking stiffer than a board). Otherwise this was a small PR for me, by about 8 inches. 80’9.5” throw. . . Event 6: Light Hammer (16 lbs) Definitely my most embarrassing moment of the day, fouled my first two throws (fell on my ass on the 2nd). Just focussed on slowing it down and making sure I got a measurement on the board. Still hit a PR, 94’4.5”. . . Hammer is the one thing I really want to kick ass at. 2023 Cobourg Highland Games were a ton of fun. This was only my third ever games and I’m still learning a lot each time. . . . Managed to hit a PR on just about every single throw that day. The IHGF Canadian Stones of Strength was a huge success this year. Some serious competition and a thunderstorm made for a very fun and interesting competition. . Event 1: 90+ lbs stone throw. This hasn’t been my best event but I hit a big PR with a 14’1” throw to take second. . Event 2: natural stone press (245/200) I took the risk and tried the heavier stone, sadly I missed and just ended up wasting energy. Came back and hit a good rep on the lighter stone. This one cost me some points. . Event 3: Dinnie Stone walk (300/280) The combined weight of the stones is over 580 lbs. I managed to almost beat the field record of 21’ but came up just shy at 20’4”. Easily my best walk ever with these. . Event 4: Atlas stone to shoulder (320/275) Again I tried the larger stone in order to secure some points, but had some problems with the big one at the top. Came back and hit an easy couple on the lighter stone. Really hoping to nail this one down for next year. . . . Huge congrats to @devon.hepburn for his win. He will get to represent Canada in Norway at the international Stones of Strength World Championship. And of course congrats to @the_fitnes_edge for beating me on the tie breaker and taking second. . . .
