So beautiful and majestic animals: IBEX. The alpine ibex is actually threatened with extinction - and a small gene pool exacerbates this danger. and yet - you have to imagine(!) - between 500 and 600 animals are shot every year in the Swiss canton of Valais alone. Until 2020, the most beautiful animals with the largest horns were still being sold to foreign trophy hunters. This was only stopped because there was an outcry from the Swiss population. Now only people from the Valais are allowed to shoot this number? I always ask myself with such unbelievable facts: who actually decides on the wild animals of a country? Who owns them to be able to make such decisions? They should belong neither to private forest owners nor to a state. Simply consigning them to death so that trophy hunters (whose „hobby“ I will never understand) can take their „hunting successes“ home with them... Once again, the whole structure surrounding the care of the forest and nature has gone completely awry. Nr. 70/100 Nägel, Schrauben, Haken, Klammern und andere wichtige Dinge… Das wäre mal ein gutes Objekt gewesen, um @Frankenpotis Vorschlag aufzugreifen und raten zu lassen, was das ist. Aber auf dem farbigen Papier ließ sich sehr schlecht zeichnen und auch die aufgetragene Farbe wurde wie von Löschpapier aufgesogen. Deshalb könnte man ohne das Original vermutlich nicht erkennen, was es sein soll. Und die meisten werden es wohl auch gar nicht kennen. Es ist ein Tintenkonverter, mit dem man flüssige Tinte, die man in einem Patronenfüller ja sonst nicht verwenden könnte, in dieses schmale Röhrchen aufziehen und dieses dann wie eine Patrone nutzen kann. ~ Whipped Chain Stitch ~ First, embroider a line of regular chain stitch, then in the opposite direction that you just travelled, work backward with your thread, whipping each individual stitch in turn. I have no doubt that I have just made that sound far harder than it is! But I promise, it's a pretty simple stitch to embroider (definitely beginner friendly) and would look really effective stitched in two colours.
