I've been MIA on this account lately because I've been spending time in prayer and applying, applying, applying. The reveal of where we are going is coming soon as we both have secured jobs in the area and we are waiting on the Lord to confirm the house we've applied for. I'm living in thanksgiving for what we have and what the Lord is going to do through this move. I'll go into more detail of why we are moving once we have the property confirmed. As I reflect on the significance of Ascension Day, I am filled with gratitude for the hope it brings. This amazing event reassures me that no matter how turbulent life may be, there is Jesus watching over us, guiding us towards higher realms of spiritual fulfillment. It instills in me a sense of peace and reassurance, knowing that there is a divine plan unfolding, beyond our understanding. In today’s world, filled with challenges and obstacles, Ascension Day serves as a source of strength and inspiration. It reminds me to look beyond the mundane struggles and embrace the larger picture of grace and salvation. It encourages me to hold onto faith, even when the storm rages fiercely, for there is a promise of ascension, of rising above the trials and tribulations of this earthly existence. As I meditate on the significance of this day, I am reminded of the power of hope. Hope that transcends barriers of time and space, lifting us up to a realm of boundless possibilities. It is this hope that sustains me in my journey, filling my heart with gratitude for the blessings in my life and the promise of a tomorrow. What if? So many WHAT IFS… What if I try and fail? Do it anyway and learn from your mistakes. What if no one likes what I do? Then it’s not for them. What if I believe in God and He doesn’t do what I want Him to? He won’t and it’s always best, just give it time. What if He pulls me out of my comfort zone? He will, you’ll be fine… What if you don’t do it? Will you ever grow and learn? I’m so tired of what ifs and being to afraid to try. So here I am, trying the loud color out to see what He does with it. 🙌 It’s all about baby steps after all… This process makes me think of Luke 17:6: ”The Lord answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you!“ Enjoy your day everyone 🫶🏻
Hope is such an important part of faith. As christians we need to move away from praying in doubt and uncertainty and instead pray whole heartedly in hope and belief. “What does that mean? I pray about things and I am faithful.” What I mean by this is that often times we may pray and the words come out, but we don’t pray with the belief that God really is going to answer that prayer. Don’t get me wrong not everyone does, but many do. “Oh I will pray for xyz” and they do, but then they don’t fully believe God will actually answer their prayer. OR they believe God can/will only answer their prayer the way they want it answered. Part of the beauty of hope is knowing God will answer our prayers even if He does it in a way that is different than we imagined. Just because he doesn’t fulfill something the way you would have doesn’t mean He isn’t leading you to something amazing. God has plans for His people’s good not to cause them harm. 2nd Samuel 7 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. David dreamed of building a temple 🕍 where God’s presence could reside, but God had other plans. David’s desire was, ▪️Godly, ▪️Noble, ▪️Pure, David had good intentions with this dream. However, God had other plans. ➡️ Good intentions and pure motives don’t always equal God’s plans.✍️ - David had the confirmation of one of his spiritual advisers, the prophet of God, Nathan. Nathan said to David, V3 “Go do all that’s in your heart, for the Lord is with you,” Yet God had other plans and closed the door 🚪 on that dream. ➡️ Even when hearing 👂, a “yes” from others does not always mean a “yes” from God. You can get all your friends to agree with your “yes,” but it doesn’t change God’s NO. What do you do when God says NO, even to your good dreams? Chapter 7 tells us the following: V18-19 David sat before the Lord and blessed Him! (Don't overlook the power of being still), V22 David praised 👏 the Lord! V25-28 David trusted God’s NO. David accepted God’s NO and redirected his strength to something else. In fact, before David’s death, he made preparations so his successor could carry out this dream. ▪️ David refused to get jealous of someone else fulfilling his dream. You see, his dream was good, pure, and godly, but it wasn’t God’s plan for his life. When God says no, - Don’t let bitterness take over your heart. - Don’t turn away from Him! On the contrary, - Go deeper in worship! - Trust that God’s ways are better! - And redirect your strength and attention to the dreams God has said YES to. You are not assigned to every assignment you dream of, but the ones God created you for. When your will is aligned with God’s will, you will achieve your desires. God gave David, - A great name! - A temple built by his son! - A dynasty that will last forever! Your dreams may be good, but His plans are better! Hope in Jesus transcends any hope you may have in this world. This world will let you down, leave you defeated and anxious. This picture was taken just over one year ago, the last time I went to the bar and got black out drunk… when I woke up the next morning and couldn’t remember anything, It was a huge wake up call… I was tired. Tired of living this way. I was tired of the bar scene, tired of the long nights taking shots and acting a fool. I was tired of waking up & not remembering what happened the night before. I was living for ME & what I thought was my “best life.” I was 18 when I got married and started my family. So I told myself I never got to go live and do things I wanted to do. When I separated from my ex & had freedom, I went on an almost THREE year bender… I was at the bar EVERY weekend. I was drinking 4-6 nights a week. I told myself I didn’t have a problem and I was fine. But the black out nights were becoming more frequent and I did not like that feeling. After a lot of self reflection & therapy I decided this was not the life I wanted for myself or my kids! It was a selfish life. It was a life that could easily spiral out of control. One day I got on my knees & begged God to help me make a change, to forgive me for losing sight of His goodness & walking away from all I knew He wanted for me. Right there I rededicated my life to Him & asked Him to change me, use me and redeem me!!! Now I live my best life for God! I wake up and I spend time soaking up His Word! I am focused on what He wants for me! I stopped living life concerned with what others thought and am only concerned with what God thinks of me. I feel amazing. When I say I’ve gotten my healthiest I don’t just mean physically but also mentally. I feel so much peace & clarity when I use to feel so much chaos. I feel a true God given happiness! I have zero desire to go to the bar. I have zero desire to waste my life getting blackout drunk. I don’t turn to partying and drinking to drown out life. I face things head on and let God lead me. I have this man who encouraged and inspired me to be better and want more! Chad was truly a God sent! I love this life I now have! It is my BEST LIFE & I know God has so much more in store for me! Let me encourage you that if you’re going through things, turn to God!

That’s all. Really, I just want you to know I see you. And while our stories are different, I think it’s fair to say, we have a shared knowing. We know about the aftermath. The ripple effect. The background hum of a life turned upside down. And inside out. We count days. Minutes. We reminisce about this time last month. This time last year. When things were different. Better. We notice things - like smells. And songs. And empty spaces. We notice them long and hard now. And we stare into the next season with a kind of bewildered look on our faces. Trying to make sense of all that’s happened. Wondering how anything will be okay. Ever again. Right? Oh my goodness. How I get this. And while the knowing is sharp in places, we also have a shared knowing about Hope too. Don’t we? We know His name. His good heart. His promises. We know that while we stand confused about the mess - we don’t need to question His goodness. It’s here in the aftermath we find His most beautiful work. So if you’re wondering if you’re seen - you are. I see you. But so much more than that - the One Who is dressed for battle - He sees you. The One Who goes before us. Stands behind us. The One Who never steps away from us. He sees you. He. Sees. You. He knows it’s heavy and hard. He sees you counting minutes and holding your breath because some minutes are really sharp. Like, really sharp. He knows you’re tired. And sore. He understands it all more than we know. He will continue to shape and mold you through this. It’s what He does. And I can’t wait to see what beauty He brings from the ashes of your hard story. We know Him. We know. Life update… I’ve been missing on here and I’m sorry about that. I miss interacting with you guys and appreciate the support. 🤍 In the past year I have left my college coaching job and gone into full time ministry. 🙌 God has called me to go on full time staff with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and start a volleyball club that is a ministry first and foremost. 🙌 When He called me to start this journey, He also spoke that I am to do art as well. That both are important and both are ministries. Total transparency, I have struggled to find the balance in how to do both well. Starting a ministry has been the greatest honor and gift I have been given and it’s been consuming. 🥴 By the time I’m done doing all I have to do there, I have nothing left to give to art… 🤦♀️ But God is teaching me the art of balance and boundaries. He is teaching me that if He is calling me to it, He will make a way, I just need to keep my eyes on Him. 🙌 I say all of this to say, I thank God for this supportive community and the friends I’ve made here. All of you matter to me and I love interacting with you. I’ll be back soon doing reels and more posts. I’ll do a better job of updating my website. Until then, thank you for continuing to follow me and granting me grace. God is so good and this is a pic of the ministry I’ve started with the Lord. He is faithful and on the move and I can’t wait to express all that He is doing artistically. 🙌
Feelings are fleeting, but our God is not. Thoughts come and go, but our Lord does not. Be careful not to attach yourself to what you’re feeling or thoughts you have. Instead of saying “I’m mad” or “i’m afraid”, reword it to “i feel mad” or “i feel afraid”. When saying “I am”, you are coming into agreement with that! Instead choose to agree with what our Lord in Heaven says about you! Don’t take on the emotion or the thought as your identity. This New Year is a time when I don't only look forward, but look back on the past year and see how God has walked beside me the entire time. I have learned His faithfulness. He is always faithful. If there is anything 2023 has taught me it's that true hope is not a new year. Hope is a person. Hope is Jesus. A hope that lasts when temporary things of this world fade. As we walk into 2024 I want to remind you that in the storms we will face, Jesus promised He will go with us to the end. It's not what we build, but it is what we build it on. Our trust isn't in the house but in the foundation, the home is built on. I'll leave you with this. We can't save our lives by our own doing and we can't save the lives of the ones we love either. Only through Jesus Christ, we can be saved. We all will stand before the judgment of God.
