I’ve just passed the three-month mark since my surgery and I’m slowly getting better and stronger day by day, step-by-step, breath-by-breath and heartbeat-by-heartbeat. With God’s help, I’m doing everything our medical friends are asking with patience and a smile on my face! I know that it’s a journey. My fairytale princess and I knew that from the beginning. Once we were told what was happening, and that we were not going to be able to go to Africa, I grabbed my wife’s hand and looked her in the eyes and told her, “We’re about to go on our most difficult mission trip ever! And this will sure be the most expensive mission trip we’ve ever taken. BUT this is going to be the very best mission trip we’ve ever taken!” And it has. It’s been a very hard, but incredibly beautiful journey! God has given us such grace, strength, endurance, and joy, each step of the way! Loving the Lord is the first nature of every true believer. We learn the true meaning of love from loving the Lord. All our emotions and heart desire should seek the Lord. Our soul should fear the Lord. Christ should be first in our heart. The heart has no boundaries or safety guard on it.
