Sixth month update, a couple days late but that's okay ❤️ Being stuck in a plateau for over a month (almost 2) was hard, mentally and at times emotionally. I truly had to learn to be patient with my body. I had to truly learn to truly trust the journey I'm on and remind myself that it's just that, a journey. NOT a race. Even though the scale hadn't been moving, mentally I've been better than ever. I had stopped weighing myself and went off of how I was feeling, and how my clothes were fitting. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to dot! This is dot, she’s a 5 month old landseer Newfoundland. She came to us from Idaho (I think) and is literally the sweetest girl ever. She LOVES water, and likes other dogs from what I’ve seen. We won’t be keeping her forever sadly, but she will come back to our house to have pups in the future!! For now, I’ll be teaching her some tricks, agility, and maybe some obedience while she’s with us!! I don’t know how long she’ll stay, but maybe for a month or longer!! I can still pick her up, which won’t last long because she grows literally overnight, and I’m pretty sure her and Obi are about the same size right now!! Over 4 stone - 56lbs!!!! It’s so crazy to look back and see these pictures of myself, even my family send them to me now just to remind me of how far I’ve come. To be honest I never thought I would ever lose the weight and I used various excuses to not even try. My biggest excuse was that I was big boned so was meant to be on the bigger side. Boy was I wrong! Just being introduced to macros, exercise and being able to shift my mindset changed everything for me. I am actually so so proud of myself for where I have got to and it’s been hard, I’ve had tough days where I’ve left bad habits creep back in but the important thing to remember is that those were a few bad choices and they are not the way I want to live my life now.
